Honor Society, which is made up of four guys in their twenties from the New York/ New Jersey area, is the first talent to be signed to the Jonas Brothers' label.
Rolling Stone dubbed the pop-rock group "a breakout band to watch" last spring. They landed an opening spot on one of the best-selling tours of the summer -- the Jonas Brothers'.
The group kicked off their own 40-date tour across the country on Sept. 21. It ends Nov. 23.
The band was formed in 2007 in Rockland County, N.Y., a Manhattan suburb with an active music scene.
Lead singer and guitarist Michael Bruno, keyboardist Jason Rosen and bassist Andrew Lee were seeking a drummer when they got a recommendation to look up Alexander Noyes, who had been a drummer for the Jonas Brothers.
When Noyes left the Jonas Brothers about three years ago, he didn't do it to join Honor Society. He actually left the band, which had not yet become a pop phenomenon, to attend Ramapo College of New Jersey, in Mahwah. But a year later, Honor Society members were looking for a drummer, and a mutual friend introduced them to Noyes.
Each band member is a an avid Twitter user, communicating with fans as often as a laptop and a thought present themselves.
