Reports: Jon Gosselin, Girlfriend Split

(CBS/AP)  "Extra" is reporting that Jon Gosselin has split from girlfriend Hailey Glassman.

"They're taking a break," an insider told "Extra," adding that it may not be permanent.

After meeting with famed Rabbi Shmuley Boteach for regular study sessions and counseling, Gosselin "apparently decided he needed to spend some time on his own," the source told "Extra."

Gosselin, 32, and Glassman, 22, first got close in May when Gosselin stayed with her father, plastic surgeon Lawrence Glassman, who once performed a free tummy tuck for Jon's estranged wife, Kate, in New York. The two claim they didn't become romantically involved until the Gosselins filed for divorce in June.

On Thursday, Glassman told the syndicated television magazine show "The Insider" that the one-time reality TV dad takes out his anger on her. She says he throws "mantrums."

Gosselin, who filed for divorce from wife Kate in June, was part of the TLC show "Jon & Kate Plus Eight," chronicling their struggles raising eight children.

Glassman spoke to "The Insider" in a two-part interview airing Thursday and Friday.

We're involved in a war right now, our country is so affraid of socialism that we fail to realize that we should be concerned with the social welfare of other people and therefore there is some kind of problem with everyone in our country having health care, people are losing their jobs everywhere but somehow this is "news". I think CBS news needs to evaluate what real news is and this bs to E!.

There is nothing more boring than "reality TV". It's bad enough the show was on the air, now we have to see their hideous faces plastered on "news" sites. Any married scum who starts dating another deserves everything they get. The wife is greedy and wants far more than her share of the pie because she had more children than she could take care of. I agree they should call it scripted TV aside from that who cares about either Jon or Kate? The children are my only concern and I think they;just like Octo Moms brood have been irreparably damaged.
It was reported that when Jon and Kate?s kids were informed they may not be filming any more shows they had a meltdown. Way to go for raising dysfunctional children.

You then need to explain how you are going to support your family, after you ended the show and the paychecks. Not to mention, all the trips and adventures you and your kids benefited from the show. I don't know if this will change your bad image, but you still must do it.

Who cares about Jon Gosselin? His few minutes should be long gone..And can't he use common sense, instead of asking someone how to live his own life? I feel sorry for those poor children, who has a father who will never grow up! What possible advice could he ever give those children? How could he teach his sons how to be men, when he obviously doesn't know anything about it! Please, Jon, get off the front page of every news outlet! I watched every episode of the show. The minute they knew the marriage was over the show should have ended. Continueing to air the show fueled the story. I loved this show, every episode. I watched it to see the kids, not the adults. To see these kids grow up on camera brought much joy to my life. It was the last thing I watched on tv at the end of my day, and it always made me laugh. But I have to admit, Jon took alot of crap from Kate and did not stand up for himself. I could tell during the "interviews" on the couch he didn't rally want to be on tv. He was not a victim. She was not an abuser. He had a choice to take her crap or say something on or off camera. I would have loved to see him have a serious conversation with Kate on camera that there is another way to express herself of what's bothering her without berading him. Every mother in America wishes her husband would do more whether its 1 kid or 8. Neither one of them should have done any interviews outside of the show, not one. That also fueled the media frenzy. I would have gone on just fine if the show was cancelled and I never heard another word. There are celebrities out there that don't do any interviews. FOR A REASON. After the show ends, which I think is only a couple of episodes left, all of this media frenzy will END. You'll see. I guaranteed it!

Ya know....it isn't just that Jon is totally a failure as a husband and father....but since he told Kate she "better get a lawyer cause he had one and he is filing for divorce", he has continued to make decisions that were/are destined for failure. He simply cannot look beyond the immediate gratification of either his own pleasure or his vindictive actions against Kate. He is a whoring, cheating, lying, hateful, spiteful blob and he not only took it all out on Kate, but now he is subjecting the rest of the people in his life to this misery. Remember, Kate said that for a long time she had been laughing on the outside and crying on the inside. I saw most episodes of the TLC show, and he was crappy to her most of the time. He blamed her for "quitting his job" when in reality he was fired and she covered for him. He blames Kate for everything, but in reality he was the one who was mean and hateful, and Kate finally started firing back. This Rabbi won't cure any of that mean spirited personality from hell that is Jon Gosselin. This is just another stunt to get publicity. He may now finally realize just how much he has screwed the pooch as far as income goes, but, again, that is just his selfish side taking over again. Let's hope he just fades away, and Kate and the kids are allowed to move on without him being a drain on their future.

It's bad enough when family members start taking "sides" during disputes like this, but ordinary members of the general public who do nothing but watch a show and read one-sided news reports?
Any divorce takes two people, just like a marriage. You don't know these people - conjecture and finger-pointing isn't going to help.

Jon has proven himself to be a loser. Without a job lined up he trashes TLC's contract and his family program. TLC has its hands tied with Jon's demand the children not participate. He still is not looking for a real job. He runs with a fast crowd using money that should be for raising his children and supporting the household. Initially both Jon and Kate left me cold but reading and hearing story after story about his pranks, tantrums, girlfriends . . . I think Kate is lucky to be rid of him. His approach to Kate's brother and sister-in-law to get them on his side is so immature and destructive. It will not be the show on TLC that damages the 8 children but Jon, the father, that does the job. The court needs to review all of the available information and rule that full custody go to Kate with limited visitation from Jon until he seeks counseling and not from some star-powered counselor. I am sorry but Jon is a total loser.

please... If you watched the show... you could see how badly Kate treated him... She constantly treated him like dirt, and all he ever did was love Kate and the kids. You can only take so much MENTAL/EMOTIONAL abuse before it goes from love to like to tolerate to dislike to hate. Like they say, It'll come back around... Stop trashing Jon, so hes single, and lonely, and has been lonely for a number of years, and doesn't know what to do now with all the hoopla around the divorce and the show.. oh...I agree. Kate is beautiful, educated and a mature women. Jon constantly needed to be told what to do....he lost patience with his children all of the time..I saw every episode..Jon was a sulky little child that only wanted to go play..He renewed his vows with Kate just over a year ago in a lavish wedding. The children would never been able to see and expeience the things they have if not for the show. Shame on Kates brother and his wife for turning on kate...Jodi was a big help with the kids but, in turn she was able to travel with them as well. Is every one blind..Look at Jon's true colors..they finally came to light. Look at what he has done to destroy his famly. The kids will all see one day and know the truth about their father. Kates famly should be standing with her...she needs help and their love.......Because Jon is a liar and needs mental help.
