Ray Romano Wins Dinner Date
(AP)
Ray Romano is spending big money to have dinner with the man who created "Everybody Loves Raymond."
Romano bid a winning $16,000 in a live auction Thursday for the chance to share a meal and a movie with "Raymond" creator Philip Rosenthal. The auction was held as part of a fundraiser for Inner City Arts, a school that teaches art to children in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles. The school is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
Thursday's event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel honored Rosenthal and his family for their contributions to Inner City Arts. Romano's new show, "Men of a Certain Age," premieres in December.
