- My daughter's dear friend and neighbor was killed at age 6 (my daughter now 12) due to a distracted driver on their cell phone. My daughter and I have supported the SAJD program as we do not want this to happen to anyone else! We know there are many others and we personally know a wonderfully family now suffering due to severe injuries their daughter received in a car accident due to a distracted driver on the cell phone. This comment could go on and on, but I think my point has already been made. Please concentrate on educating people about the dangers of distracted driving. It could not be said more simply "hang up and drive".

- As a parent of a 17 year old child who was killed by a distracted driver, this article makes me sick. I can't believe there was not even a mention to focus on driving in this article. CBS you blew it. Alessandra was killed by a person who thought it was more important to be texting while at the wheel instead of focusing on driving. Now CBS wants us to make popcorn and dry our hair. Irresponsible if you ask me.

- Thank you Stay Alive...Just Drive! This story is ridiculous and wrong on so many levels. It's amazing that the World has been able to find places for decades before IPhones and Navigation Systems were invented. How about this - get ready before you get into your car, eat before you leave your house/office or wherever you are at, make your calls before you leave - and quit teaching our children it's ok to do all of these things while driving!

- As we struggle to curb distracted driving a story of this nature seems totally absurd. You can include all the disclaimers in the world and it will not prevent people from multi-tasking and engaging in distractions that endanger ALL drivers, motorcyclists, bicyclists, and pedestrians.
Remember SAFE DRIVING IS NOT EXPENSIVE, IT'S PRICELESS!
Stay Alert, Stay Focused, Stay Alive .... Just Drive!

- I TOTALLY agree with Dave concerning the as-you-go popcorn maker. If people will put on MASCARA, read the paper and (shiver) text while driving, making a batch of popcorn would be a snap in their ever-so-twisted minds! *Searchin for my lost shaker of salt* Eeeeek, noooooo!!
