Michael Jackson Earns AMA Nod

(AP)  Michael Jackson has a chance to win artist of the year posthumously at the American Music Awards.

Fans will select winners by online voting. The awards will be televised Nov. 22 on ABC from Los Angeles.

Jackson is up against Lady Gaga, Eminem, Kings of Leon and Taylor Swift for the show's top honor. Jackson died in Los Angeles on June 25, in the midst of rehearsals for a comeback tour.

I only wish he were still here...... to share with us....his legacy.

Michael succeeded in accomplishing a feat that no other country, artist, and person was ever able to. He was able to erase all the lines that separate... age, gender, languages, Countries, Nations, Race, skin color, Politics, economic class barriers, generational differences...If only the world .... would have listened completely. He succeeded and found... world peace.
In his dance, words, songs, language, in his look, in his view. He had faith in all of us....I only wish that all had listened.

Artist of the year is a popular category. He has reached new heights since his death. This added with his planned concert tour would have made him more than qualify for this award. I hope he does win and that his children can continue having pride in his work.
