Linda Combs

Manager of Operations, CBS News, Radio

(CBS)  Linda Coombs has been the Manager of News Operations since January, 2001.

Prior to her move to management, Coombs spent 17 years in the CBS Radio Newsroom as an Update Producer, Copy Editor and Newswriter.

From 1981-1983, she served as a writer for the RKO Radio Networks in New York City. Between 1977 and 1981, Coombs worked as an anchor and reporter for WSOC-AM,

Charlotte, NC, WVOS-AM/FM, Monticello, New York and WFAS/WWYD, Dobbs Ferry, New York.

Coombs holds a BA in Mass Communications from Emerson College.
