Limbaugh to Judge Miss America Pageant

(AP)  The Miss America Organization said Rush Limbaugh will be a judge for the 2010 pageant in Las Vegas.

It will be held at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Jan. 30, broadcast live on TLC.

Limbaugh will be on the panel of seven judges that will help decide who will be crowned Miss America 2010.

The Miss America Organization said Friday when making the announcement that Limbaugh's radio program is in its 22nd year and is on nearly 600 radio stations with an audience of 20 million.

President and CEO Art McMaster said the Miss America Organization is thrilled to have Limbaugh as a judge.

In 1991 I lived in the Southeastern part of Missouri. Rush is a native of Cape Girardeau?which was less than 100 miles from my home. I listed to his radio show and I believe this was about the time he began to take off nationally. In 1991 Rush?s show was not as crazed and demented as it is
now .

There was a period of a few weeks in 1991 that Rush instituted a ?policy? on his radio show. He made it a requirement that all female listeners send a photo of themselves to his show before he would do any on-air commentary with them. He made it clear that the photos could be as revealing as possible. I still wonder if I imagined that as it still sounds so bizarre. I also recall that some of his comments to female callers bordered on the risque-often very flirtatious with a great deal of sexual innuendo. If there are tapes of some of those old radio shows, I am sure they will verify my memory. The tapes , I assume, are considered public record as they were aired nationwide.

You gotta be kidding? Is being controversial making ratings go high? This seems to be what's happened to this country. Even the Great Walter Cronkite said before he died that there are people who think they are newsmen,but they are actors. Miss America has lost it's popularity and this is one of the reasons why people don't care about the pagent like they used to years ago. Rogue Limburger belongs on Fox Prime Time with the other idiots and now CBS is joining the company of know nothing,big mouthed tv boobs. If it wasn't for so many cable stations 90 % of the garbage on tv would be gone. This ASS#@&$ isn't fit to be a judge of anything. CBS just turned me off. Is CBS trying to compete with Fox? It's time for some better tv networks because I see the road that tv is going down and it really sucks. The Pagent is down enough without Rogue Limbaugh having a part of it. Anyway I see if you can start up controversy it makes for better ratings,you are following the path of hated shows such as Glen Beck,who O'Reilly says is the 2nd highest rated show on tv. Let's remember that Limbaugh tried marriage 3 times. They all failed. Supposedly he gets his jollies when he travels to the Domincan Republic. Limbaugh is a dirty old man. That makes him an excellent judge for Miss America which exists primarily to pander to dirty old men.
