Survey: Miami Full of Hot, Dumb People

Travel and Leisure Gives 30 American Cities Rankings in Numerous Categories

(CBS)  A survey of 30 cities conducted by Travel and Leisure magazine ranked Miami number one for attractive people, but 29th for intelligence, followed only by Las Vegas.

"In Miami, you see nothing but good looking people," Scott Piccininni of Ft. Lauderdale told CBS affiliate WFOR-Miami.

Apparently you also see nothing but people with low intelligence. The city's rankings in other categories may have something to do with that. Miami scored low on theater, museums and historic monuments in the survey.

It also ranked 27th for friendliness, beating out Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and, of course, New York.

Read more about the survey at CBS affiliate WFOR-Miami and Travel and Leisure.

Dade COUNTY has the worst education system, parents either put their children in private schools or they move. The dumb folks stay and repopulate the area with more dumb folk.
I don't know what this survey is talking about in regards to theatre and museums. That area has tons of theatre, a beautiful opera house, museums, stadiums, parks, waterfront dining and shopping. It's a great place, but yes people are terrible drivers, even the rich people(and their are lot's) that live there.

Speaking of Miami, when Cuba opens back up is there going to be
a mass exodus, or maybe by then, the glaciers will melt and Miami
will return to the Atlantic Ocean, where it belongs.

It makes sense to say that Miami is full of dumb people. Without a doubt, Miami has the most corrupt politicians in the nations, and the people are not doing anything to remove them. No wonder around the nation Miami is considered a banana republic. The following is just one of many fishy things taking place in Miami. Even though a very large number of people are suffering in Miami due to the current financial crises, the corrupt mayor and his cronies were able to gain approval for a 550 million dollar baseball stadium we cannot afford. The dumb people in Miami just allowed a few millionaires to become multimillionaires.

Wonder what the silly survey asked? And who were the survey respondents? Did the surveyors select random people off of street corners? Or maybe they visited the local Miami homeless centers and survey them.

Why is there a constant attack on Southerners with these blogs? Are you so afraid of the South you have to bash it? The greatest prejudice I have ever encountered has been in the North. The greatest lack of common sense, integrity, and compassion has been in the North. Respect and civility are deplete on both sides of the Mason Dixie Line however. I was born and raised in the North and I now live in the South. I returned to the North for a short time and returned to the South because I simply could not stand the ignorance and bigotry. There are always exceptions, but it is general observations. So why is the South so scary? Just like the Civil War time the South has the natural resources the North is losing and wants? The South believes in States Rights while the North believes in Federal Rights and Control? Nothing ever changes, does it?

Not hard to figure out that they have the dummest people.
I just have to look back to the year 2000 election. LOL
However if true I am sure that statement is hurtful to some and there are exception.

Lived there for many years and agree! I am very glad, much happier since I left! Most people there were rude, especially when you wanted to speak english. And crime is much more prevelent there (hit and runs are an everyday occurence-showing total disregard for human life).

This is very true. I have lived here for many years and am looking to get out.

Also, Miami should rank LAST for friendliness, definitely!! NYers are much nicer.

To: russoT...You are so right about New Yorkers being friendlier. I lived in Miami for too many years...About a month ago, I moved to New York state...Definitely a change for the better. I'm still using my old blog name, however. The problems Miami has, though, are a direct link to the corrupt local government, which is mainly republican. The blogger who mentioned "illegals" is so wrong...the majority of people there are American citizens.

While I tend to agree about Miami, I will argue with you on the first part of your statement. I am FL born and raised, and now live in northern GA. I do not consider myself to be unintelligent and know many who do not fit your description.

Is the the fault of the hard-working, tax-paying people who live in south Florida, or would that be because of illegal immigrants from Cuba and Haiti?
