Cops: Mass. Couple Beat Man At KFC Over Slow Order

(AP)  Police say a couple, upset over the slowness of their Kentucky Fried Chicken order, assaulted a man who asked them to stop yelling profanities for the sake of children in line. Police said the couple was arrested Thursday after witnesses told police the couple beat the man as he was leaving the fast food joint.

According to police, 31-year-old Jared Garfagna, of Marshfield, punched the man in the head, then Garfagna's girlfriend, 24-year-old Sara Mohn, kicked the victim.

Mohn was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Garfagna will be summonsed to court for assault and battery. It's unclear if either have hired an attorney.

The victim had cuts on his eyelid and wrists but refused medical treatment.

I have to wait for them to make it. I would rather them make while I wait. It is not the slowness, Rage is the problem. I can wait. I don't like the long lines yet the the places has lots of people to wait on. The more people the slower as they are human. We want now. That can't happen than they /we get unset. Time is the issue. Food takes time to fix. They go to a place to eat yet they have no idea what they what to order. I think it is time to realise that we can't have it now and we have to WAIT. Most don't want to wait and take turns. Children have hearn the words they should not say are said in the home. I can buy a ready made sandwich at the stote or I can wait for them to mark me one at the place I buy food. Little children want it now and it seem aduls i want it now as they have not learnt to wait. We all get upet. Wait and that is oart of life.

Chicken Rage is a very serious condition. It is just the final stages of the chicken flu. Just wait until the swine flu completes it course. BBQ brawls will break out all over the country. The only thing that will save the USA is that most of us are obese, have autism, or are high, some all three. Now just give me extra crispy and nobody will get hurt!!!

Just shut the F up and wait for the person to put in their order. I guess a-holes like this are in a hurry to get back to the trailer park to watch American Idol.

Wow, a beat down for slow chicken. Gosh, where are their manners?? Oh I know, they don't have any. They should have gone to McDee's then they may have waited longer.

Look at Washington DC and chicago. They banned guns, have the highest crime rates because the crooks have the guns and no one can defend themselves. Every city that has banned guns, has increased crime.

Congress needs to look into fast food line reform.
- It's a national right that fast food be fast.
- Congress could create a government option to compete and give people a choice. It would create jobs.
- It would make fast food more affordable to those the 40 or so Million that currently don't get fast food.
- Congress could mandate fast food line use or face penaties.
- The revenue derived would result in efficiencies that wouldn't otherwise be identified.

No doubt the police were only minutes away while this assault was happening. States with conceal carry have seen a dramatic reduction in this type of bad behavior and no, incidents of shootings hava dropped as well in those states.

You are misinformed. Concealed carry laws have NOT reduced violence. The number of violent crimes in the US was declining BEFORE those laws were enacted. Despite the number of stories you may have read that may make it seem otherwise, violent crime has been declining in the US for some time now, and the concealed carry laws have NOT been the cause.

More guns = more gun "accidents", therefore more dead gun owners. You're digging your own grave. Enjoy lying in it.

I'm not condoning the violence, but maybe KFC would like to up their game and get a car out of the drive-thru in less than 15 minutes. They are, bar none, THE slowest of fast-food restaurants. I'm not surprised their slow service triggered some nut. Not surprised at all.

Which would you rather have, freshly fried chicken or chicken that has sat under a heat lamp for several hours? In order to keep the chicken from having to sit for a long time, they try not to cook too far ahead. At times, they will get a rush of people when not expected and this will cause them to run out. Therefore, someone will have to wait until more chicken is done. It does take time for chicken to fry, even with the huge pressure fryers. It cannot be rushed and still get well done chicken. Personally, I would rather wait a few minutes and get fresh chicken. If you don't like that, then I am sure there are other fast food places in your area.
