Rodriguez asked two-time "30 Rock" winner Alec Baldwin if he always considered himself a funny guy.
Baldwin said, "My brother would say, 'You know, they're giving him all these awards. He's been doing this crap since he was 10.' So I'm as funny as a lot of people I grew up with."
"Damages" star Glenn Close, who also won again for her portrayal as a ruthless attorney, said winning is "thrilling."

"I've been in this profession now I think almost 35 years. You feel that you're part of an amazing tradition. I carry with me all the people I've been inspired by."
But does Close enjoy playing such mean characters?
She said with a smile, "(My character's) not mean."
Close added that in real life she isn't usually mistaken for her mean characters.
"I don't give out those vibes," she said. I'm very different from the character I play."
Rodriguez also caught up with multi-talented singer Justin Timberlake who an Emmy for his performance as host of "Saturday Night Live."
Timberlake said if he were approached, he would possibly do a musical variety show to showcase his many talents.
"I think I might (be interested)," he said. "Give me a call."
