Found: Wired's Missing Man

By
Daniel Sieberg
(CBS)  On August 15, Wired Magazine challenged its readers to find writer Evan Ratliffas he tried to remain hidden and off the grid for 30 days.

If Ratliff was found, the winner would receive $5,000. Wired kept its readers engaged by leaving clues on a special Web page as Evan traveled the United States eluding his trackers.

One tech savvy Wired reader, Jeff Reifman, was able to follow Ratliff's digital bread crumbs to New Orleans, where he set a trap with fellow readers.

Reifman explains how he tracked down the elusive Ratliff in an interview with CBS News Science and Technology Correspondent Daniel Sieberg.
