Creating "Wow Moments" with Your Wardrobe

Celebrity Stylist Rachel Zoe Spotlights Must-Have Looks for Every Woman's Wardrobe

(CBS)  To kick off New York Fashion Week on Thursday, "The Early Show" invited celebrity stylist and Bravo television star and designer Rachel Zoe on the show to share her fashion advice and four looks she thinks every woman should have in their wardrobe.

Zoe, who's dressed A-list celebrities Cameron Diaz, Demi Moore and Anne Hathaway, said you can create looks that create "wow moments." She explained "wow moments" are jaw-dropping looks that take your breath away.

"That doesn’t always mean a red carpet look either," she told CBS News. "It could be jeans with the most amazing jacket."

Fashion Week in New York is all about "wow moments" and fantasy fashion. But in tough economic times, when people are cutting back, how do people still create a personal style that is both modern and chic?

Zoe said people should make the most of the lower cost shopping resources at their fingertips, such as Topshop, H&M, Zara, QVC and vintage shops.

She said, "Inspiration can be found from fashion shows and magazines and recreated from these amazing shops."

On "The Early Show", Zoe featured four of her "Rachel-isms" for dressing chic:

Rachel-ism: Thou shall be inspired by sequins.
Sequin clutch: This bag can go from day to night, looks great with a cocktail dress or jeans and a T-shirt.

Rachel-ism: Thou shall have luxury in your wardrobe.
Faux fur vest: Fur denotes a feeling of luxury. I've created these so you can wear them over a tank and jeans or in winter with a turtleneck under it.

Rachel-ism: Thou shall aim for "wow moments."
Thigh high boots: Create a sense of "look at me" and everyone really can wear them.

Rachel-ism: thou shall use color and shape to create drama.
Red cape: Allows you to use color and shape to create drama in your outerwear, which then allows you to command attention with your regular wardrobe choices.

wow..trés belles choses, notamment les peites vestes en fourrures, j'ai aimé les sacs aussi, les chaussures sont belles , cependant les "cuissardes", cela reste une question de gout "mousquetaire d'un jour" il faut aimer pour en mettre, merci de nous faire partager
