Jon Gosselin: I Despise Kate

Jon Gosselin says he despises his estranged wife Kate, and believes she took his wedding ring.

The reality TV star told ABC News' Chris Cuomo on "Good Morning America" that he set down his ring one day and it vanished. He says no one else could have taken it.

He also accuses Kate of verbally abusing him and beating him down during their marriage.

Jon's remarks came from his first TV interview since divorce papers were filed in June. Kate has made a number of her own interview appearances in recent weeks.

The Gosselins continue to co-star on TLC's hit reality show "Jon & Kate Plus 8," which documents the challenges of raising their twins and sextuplets.

Lord, please, somebody explain to me why we put these nobodies up on a pedestal in the first place? I suppose I could say something about America's obsession with manufactured stardom, but I doubt it would do any good. I can recall my mother and father when they divorced. They went out of their way to never say bad things to or about each other in front of us kids, and I have respected them forever after for that. Jon; quit whining, shut up, and think about somebody besides yourself for once. Ditto for you Kate. You two are pathetic.

John you give our name a bad reputation and that is one thing you do not want to play with. Reputation means everything especially when you have a woman that might be baiting you. If you can't agree you walk away. Women are easy to come BYE in this life. 8 children aren't however. When you find the right woman keep, but don't advertise what you do on the air waves. You will later regret especially when you have to say your sorry, because eventually you will. Let it go if your gone. Nothing good comes out of anything that breeds ill-will. Walk away and be a great Dad. There is no downside to those relationships.

The bottom line is these two should have ended their TV gig a long time ago and settled down into a normal family life. Instead they let themselves and their kids get caught up in the limelight and they kept on cashing those nice big checks. Well, Jon & Kate, you sold not only your own souls but those of your children for fame and fortune. And surprise! It made your lives more miserable, not less so.....and you ain't seen nothin' yet. Wait until the kids are old enough to understand exactly what a couple of tools their mom and dad are!

I continue to be amazed at how public this couple chooses to make their personal private and painful business.

All the money in the world would never make it ok to air my business and jeapardize my children's mental health, as a result of it.

I don't know how Jon took Kate all those years! She is forever beating him down. He seems to be a very good father. He does more than most men with their children. She has alienated her family and many viewers. I can't watch it anymore. The kids are getting more and more spoiled and I believe Kate is all about the money and using her children, no mater what she says about the kids coming first.

I can't help but wonder why a couple who already had twins would take fertility drugs in the 1st place when they only wanted one more child, by their own admission. Instant gratification? Couldn't be more patient?

I have never watched their show at all, but I think the Jon guy is a selfish self-centered man. He isn't thinking about his children at all, even if he didn't care about his wife. I have saw clips that have shown Kate being "witchy" with Jon, but he no doubt deserved it, he is obviously immature and was probably no help with the kids, causing her to lash out...Having been there with just two children, I cannot imagine the stress she is under with 8....I think she truly loved Jon, but stresses and things can get in the way...You end up being "Mommy" to everyone, and bossing everyone unintentionally....Every time I see her face and the total look of shock and just trying to hold herself together, I remember that feeling. I remember feeling you have given up everything for someone and sacrificed so much and they just want to walk away....I feel for her, but they should get off tv now...
