Hogan, who uses her music as an outlet to cope with her parents' highly publicized divorce, has become a pop sensation despite the drama. She has had two number one singles and a highly successful reality show on VH1 called, "Brooke Knows Best."
Now with her sophomore album, "The Redemption," Hogan gets personal, showing off her own songwriting skills, which critics call her best work to date.
Hogan, who co-wrote all but two songs on the album, stopped by "The Early Show Saturday Edition"'s "Second Cup Cafe" to perform "Falling" and "Trust Me."
Although she hasn't spoken to her estranged mother, Linda, since her parents' divorce has been finalized, Hogan wrote a song titled, "Dear Mom," on her latest album.
Candid about her feelings toward the tabloid frenzy surrounding her family, Hogan says the album "is about rediscovering myself, my family troubles, falling in love and maturing as a young woman and entertainer" on her official Web site.
Hogan started her professional recording career when she was just 15 years old. Her first single "Everything To Me" hit airwaves in 2004, and hit No. 1 on the Top Single Sales chart.
That same year, VH1 struck gold when it premiered "Inside (Out): Hulk Hogan Stage Dad," an hour-long special about life with the Hogan family. Since the special was such a hit, the reality series, "Hogan Knows Best," debuted in 2005.
As viewers watched Hogan evolve into a woman, her loving, yet extremely protective, father took notice of the attention and tried to keep the boys away. This storyline did wonders for the show's ratings, reaching nearly 90 million viewers per episode.
Hogan released her solo debut album, "Undiscovered," in 2006, which included writing from Nelly Furtado and collaborations with Paul Wall, Stack$ and Beenie Man. Her single "About Us," featuring Paul Wall, hit No. 1 on the U.S. Top Singles Sales Charts, and was a Top 5 radio hit in the U.K.
Earlier this year, Hogans's first single, "Falling," which features Stack$, did well on the Billboard Top 40 and Rhythmic Top 40 Charts.
On "The Redemption," Hogan collaborated with Grammy nominated Kon Live, Colby O'Donis and Flo Rida.
