Self-Proclaimed Ex: Jon on "Bachelor Romp"

(CBS)  A month ago, Kate Major was the Star magazine reporter assigned to interview reality TV star Jon Gosselin, of the TLC show "Jon & Kate Plus 8." But suddenly, the 26-year-old found herself being part of her own story when, she says, she fell for him.

Major says she had a steamy, 12-day affair with Jon. On "The Early Show" Friday, she said she quit her job to pursue a personal assistant role and relationship with Jon that he offered.

Major said when Jon remarked publicly that he couldn't be with anyone, she thought he was breaking off the relationship for the show and his kids. But, Major said, she didn't bargain on Jon going back to his 22-year-old girlfriend, Hailey Glassman.

Gosselin has denied having had an affair with Major, and Glassman has said she believes Jon, and thinks Major is "cuckoo, cuckoo.".

Major responded to her statements on "The Early Show", saying, "I feel badly for (Glassman) that she doesn't know the truth, and that Jon hasn't told her the truth. ... Any guy that cheats says that the other woman is 'cuckoo' or crazy... I have nothing bad to say about her. This isn't about Hailey and I, this is about Jon and I."

Is the ex-Star reporter still in love with Jon?

"No," Major replied. "I don't have a lot of respect for him. I think he handled the situation very poorly. He did not act like an adult or a grown man or a father. And it's just sad. I think the fame has just gone to his head and he's on some bachelor romp."

She added, "You cannot treat people (that way). It's not fair to me, it's not fair to Hailey, it's not fair to his ex-wife, his kids or anyone else involved in the situation."

I think women stupid enough to get involved w/ this deadbeat deserve exactly what they get. Seriously - did you really expect more!?! I'm so sick of women acting victimized when they voluntarily put themselves in a situation that is so obviously wrong. I don't know if Major is nuts... but certainly not the sharpest knife in the drawer!

Every divorced person goes thru this embarrassing period for about 6 months to a year - it even has a name: Divorce Adolescence. It's like they try to make up for all the fun times they THINK they missed.

First, no one has seen Kate with someone else. There are no pictures. Second, when watching some of the earlier shows, Jon acted worse than the children. Having gone through a divorce, I know what it's like and when I started noticing how Kate was talking, I knew Jon was up to something outside of the marriage.

Jon trollops around and is hardly the male role model his kids need. Kate sleeps around and is hardly the female role model her kids need. I say child protective services should permanently remove the kids from either of these two sleazy, perverted and derelict parents.

I hope someone on Kates team sees your post and slaps you with a lawsuit; we know Jon has slept around he has admitted this. With Kate you have tabloids rumors, which have not been proved and there has even been press that Jon started the rumor. So before you say someone should lose their children you should have proof. Look at the recent press about who has spent all their money and who put theirs in the childrens college fund.

Jon is a cockroach. That Kate couldn't see it is more her fault than his. Just how he treated his wife and children should make any intelligent, self-assured women stay far far away from him. I think it was more the potential for reality fame and the spotlight that drove Kate so I have no sympathy for what happened to her.
