Shots Ring Out On NYC Movie Set
(AP)
The scene was like something out of a movie _ except it wasn't.
Workers preparing a Manhattan neighborhood for an upcoming movie shoot saw real bullets flying outside a housing project.
Feliberto Rivera was hanging "no parking" signs in the Chelsea section for Queen Latifah's new movie, "Just Wright." He said he saw a man lying on the street outside, yelling for help.
Police and witnesses say the victim got out of a car and began arguing with two men. Then, they say, someone started shooting.
The man was hit in the torso and the leg Sunday. He's in stable condition at a hospital.
Shooting of "Just Wright" is to begin Monday. It's about a sports trainer who falls in love with a professional basketball player.
