"Squeaky" Fromme to Be Released?

By
CBSNews
(CBS)  Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme, the follower of Charles Manson who pointed a gun at President Gerald Ford, is set to be released from prison after 34 years, CNN is reporting.

Fromme, now 60, was in convicted in 1975 of waving a gun at Ford in Sacramento, Calif. According to CNN, Secret Service agents prevented her from firing, but the gun was later found to have no bullet in the chamber, although it contained a clip of ammunition.

But Fromme was equally well known for her loyalty to Manson.

She could be paroled from the Federal Medical Center in Carswell, Tex. as early as Aug. 16.

Obama will have Manson out shortly too! Obama LOVES those old radicals. Probably give them both a job in his administration. Maybe Charlie could oversee moving Gitmo for Obama!

Fromm should remain in prison for the rest of her life. As should John Hinckley.

And, as food for thought and discussion, instead of Dick Cheney accidentally shooting his hunting companion Harry Whittington, what if it had been the other way around ???

Perhaps the U. of C. provide Squeaky with a chair ? cultural studies of some sort ? maybe Berkley. She might be able to get a position somewhere in the system if recommended by Angela Davis the graduate studies professor emeritus of History of Consciousness (I kid you not) at the University of California and presidential chair at the University of California, Santa Cruz. However, since Angela retired in the spring of 2008 Squeaky have to settle and help Angela with her current work for prison abolition.

ph7ptzero - perhaps you should open up a book and educate yourself. The HistCon Department at UC Santa Cruz is one of the hardest to get into in the whole UC system and has produced outstanding researchers and academics across the globe.

Squeaky will be so happy to get out and test all the better guns available now.

60 years old. What a shame. I bet she's scared out of her wits to BE released after 34 years in prison.

Not feeling sorry for her, just a thought.

Don't think for a second that she won't be tracked by the SS while on parole. They would like her to be put back in prison for any violation of her parole.

Uh, what? Last time I checked, there has never been an SS here, only in Nazi Germany.
