Joan Rivers' Summer Heats Up

(CBS)  Comedienne Joan Rivers is now hotter than ever.

Rivers, who recently won "Celebrity Apprentice," now has a new show called "How'd You Get So Rich?" on TV Land. The show takes writer and entrepreneur Rivers all over the country to meet millionaires who worked their way up from nothing.

Rivers said on "The Early Show" Tuesday the show's inspiration came from her brushes with extreme wealth, including when she went to a funeral in Los Angeles and the woman was buried in a Gucci body bag.

Rivers said the show is built around finding people, ringing their doorbell, and just asking them how they got so rich.

"And they tell you (their story)," Rivers said. "New money is great."

Rivers shared a clip from the show, which features a man who has made over $50 million by making costume "Billy Bob" teeth.

What has Rivers learned from her experience on the show?

"It's the American dream," she said. "...The show says if you got an idea, and you work hard, you can get rich in this economy."

Rivers also said "hello" to Bernard Madoff on "The Early Show".

"Hello, baby," she said. "I'll never tell where those millions are...Bernie Madoff - $62 billion, and we're sitting here in last year's clothes."

Rivers also talked about being the subject of Comedy Central's Roast franchise, which will air Sunday, Aug. 9.

"It's unbelievable, what they say," Rivers said of the comments made by her comedy peers, such as Kathy Griffin, during the taping of the show.

But does it hurt her feelings?

"What are they going to say?" Rivers asked. "That I've been pulled so tight, I go to the bathroom through my ears? Check, done."

I look at the photos and see someone I do not recognize, is that the Joan Rivers, who used to guest host for Carson, or is there a "new" comedian named Joan Rivers?

I mean even with cosmetic surgery one can still see a resemblance from before, but this is radically different, Ms. Rivers had a thin, "angular" visage whereas the person in the photos has a completely different facial type, much rounder and wider.

Apparently this was just more than a "nip and tuck", it appears that some bone reconstruction and alteration was also done.

Are you sure that the woman in the accompanying photos is Ms. Joan Rivers?

Joan Rivers epitomizes "white trash". Plus if she smiled her face would crack, no really it's happened before and she needed bondo for repairs.
