"Roadshow" Sizes Up Unclaimed Bling
(AP)
"Antiques Roadshow" is coming to Colorado to size up the bling held in the state's $450 million stash of unclaimed property.
The state Treasurer's Office says it's the first time the PBS show has delved into unclaimed property held by a state.
Show host Mark L. Walberg and appraiser Peter Shemonsky will be at the Capitol in Denver on Friday to look over some of the jewelry in Colorado's Unclaimed Property Division.
Eric Rothaus, a spokesman for state Treasurer Cary Kennedy, says the visit will be videotaped for broadcast on the show. The show also plans a stop at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver on Saturday.
Last year, the Unclaimed Property Division returned more than $22 million of lost and forgotten property through the Great Colorado Payback.
