Stephen Baldwin Files For Bankruptcy

Court records show actor Stephen Baldwin is millions of dollars in debt and has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

A filing Tuesday in federal court in New York shows that Baldwin owes $1.2 million in two mortgages on a property about 30 miles north of New York City valued at $1.1 million. The document shows he also owes more than $1 million in taxes and has about $70,000 in credit card debt.

His wife, Kennya Baldwin, is also named in the filing.

Baldwin's lawyer, Bruce Weiner, did not immediately return a message left for him late Tuesday.

Baldwin has appeared in several films including "The Usual Suspects." Last month, he left the Costa Rican set of the NBC show "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" after he said he got more than 125 insect bites in eight days.

Several seasons ago, he was a contestant on "Celebrity Apprentice," another NBC reality TV show.

Leave the guy alone, at least he tried, how many of you can honestly say you're doing exactly what you want to in this World. Probably not one of you including yours truly. I admire anyone who follow his dream, and make it happen, even if you only get to taste it ever so briefly, at least you tried, thats the bottom line, at least you tried. The other thing is, its not over, if he made it to the top once he can do it again trust me. His brother Alec probably could write a check and end this instantly, but, he wouldn't want it that way, bump your head, hit the curve, its a character builder, the true test is if you can bounce back. He can, if he has it in him.

I guess it is what your name is, or Hollywood, but how does the IRS allow a person to be 1 million in debt to them. Ordinary people would be under the jail by now.

How can the IRS let someone build up a debt to them of 1 million dollars? Sounds fishy to me. The little guys (you and me) would be tarred and feathered by this time.

Everyone goes through hard times and have lived above their means. Some people just know how to budget during difficult times more than most.

Maybe if he prayed hard enough, his troubles would just go away.

Yeah, a no-talent hollywood hanger-on who's only credit is that he has a famous family name. Born at the shallow end of the gene pool, this guy should simply recognize his limitations.

Steven Baldwin is one of the stupidest people I have ever seen on TV. And that's saying a lot, 'cause there are some dummies on the tube.
