Janet Jackson Offering to Raise MJ's Kids?

By
CBSNews
(CBS)  Janet Jackson has offered to raise brother Michael Jackson's children, according to "Inside Edition."

CBS News national correspondent Hattie Kauffman spoke with "Inside Edition" 's Jim Moret, who said there's talk that Janet has bonded with the children since their father's death.

"She has said, 'I'll step forward and I will raise them if this is what they want," ' Moret said.

Jackson's kids, Michael Joseph Jackson Jr., known as Prince, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, and Prince Michael Jackson II, known as Blanket, are staying at the Jacskon family home in Encino, Calif., with Michael's mother, Katherine Jackson, as called for in Michael's will.

Complete coverage of Jackson's life and death

On "The Early Show" Friday, Kauffman observed that the children's lives are apparently different -- they haven't been seen once with the black face masks they wore while Michael was alive.

Moret said he's talked to a family friend of the Jacksons who said the children are all grieving, but are happy because they're with their relatives.

Kauffman, who toured the Jackson home in 2004, noted the kids can play in the backyard or spend time in its theater.

This week, Kauffman reported, the Jackson children also attended a Jehovah's Witness service with the family.

Firpo Carr, Michael's friend, said the kids are familiar with the tenets of the faith.

"They believe that they're going to see Dad again when he's awakened from his sleep, that is, when he is resurrected from the dead."

A custody hearing for the Jackson children is scheduled for Monday.

Kathryn will absolutely deny or will not accept a blood transfusion if ever needed by Michael's kids. Will the courts consider that?

Hello everyone!someone said jw allow children to be rape and child abuse, its crazy to say something like that, because it going against everything we beleive.our children are the most important in our lives and we try to protect them.Jehovah Witness are loving people we try to live our live according to how the bible say we should live.We go to people homes to talk about Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ. Those who talk to us we talk to and those who don't want to talk to us its ok.we don't take it personal.we don't think we are better than anyone.we want to help others to come to know about Jehovah God and his only begotten son who is Jesus Christ.we do abstain from blood, transfusion violate sarcedness of blood.act15:28-29/leviticus17:14.before people say we let our children die you need to sit down with JW in get correct information.we preach about gods kingdom like Jesus did when he was on earth.we are not ashamed of talking to people about Jehovah and Jesus Christ,Why should we? Jesus gave his life as a ransom so that everyone will have an chance to live.Would any of us give our children? Our creator is a wonderful god to give his only begotten son.no we are not ashamed 2tim1:7-13/2tim15-17,matthew28:18-2,john17:3,2.Back to mj family you should not be quick to judge people you don't know.let them take care of grandkids privately.

Michael Jacksons children are going to end up just as disturbed as their father was.

Moma Jackson (Katherine) is bringing them to the Kingdom Hall, so they can be indoctrinated. Jehovah?s Witness have the highest mental illness rate of any religion.

The future is not bright for MJ?s children if this is permitted

There is clearly a lot of vitriol spinning around the Jehovah's Witnesses, which is of course exactly what they expect--it's been prophesied.

Convenient that a systematized religious culture of insularity, sexual discrimination, legal manipulation, child abuse and isolation, and brainwashing tends to bring that up in people.

When Jehovah's Witnesses leaders receive criticism for misleading followers it's because they have hurt a lot of people.

The JW are actually the ones who attack other faiths and they do it a lot.

They will get in-your-face on my private doorstep about all the other *false religions* fanatically deflect any exposure of their
false doctrines, and smear as "hate monger" anyone who rebuttals.

There are a lot of web pages out there on Jehovah's Witnesses do a little browsing

Hate on Haters LOL. All I can do is sit back and laugh at some of the negative comments being said about JW's, but should we as Jehovah Witnesses expect anything less, weren't we warned in the bible that the world would hate us. They hated Jesus, so of course they are going to hate us!

It's funny how we are the only religion not involved in politics, wars, and there have even been deaths in the name of certain religion God,s but us JW's who do nothing but promote Jehovah and his coming Kingdom are ripped apart and hated on a daily basis, so I say to my brothers and sister don't waste your time arguing and/or debating with negative people on this web site because we know that the hate has to happen in order for Jehovah's purpose to be fufilled.

Hating us (JW's) is all apart of prophesy, so I say Hate on Haters, and have a wonderful day or evening, which ever is suitable to you :-)

Janet is the best person to raise his kids. She does not need to make money off them like their own mother wother would. Janet is a multi-millianaire and the only to tke on this is out of the goodnes of her heart. I would not trust those kids with anybody else because all can see is how much money they can make off them. Janet is the only one who made big, not as big as michael of course. But she is on the same level as madonna. Janet does not have the business mind michael had but she has peole around her that do. Im Church of God in Christ inc. but I do respect the JW believes because if we are Christians then we would want to a wittnes of who Jehovah is. Jehovah is God's name in the old testament. So in one aspect I am a JW. There are those that call themselves Christians but, they want to keep the good news to themselves and not be a wittness to what God has done for them. Exploitation is my biggest fear for the kids and Janet will not let that happen.

How do you that? Do you Know Janet? Do you know this family? Michael knew his family and knew what was best for his kids, just like you know your family and if you have kids, you know what is best for your them. He left his kids to his mom and Diana Ross if something was to happen to his mom, so that should let you know right there that apparently he must have his reasons for not leaving them to any of his brothers and sisters, he knew them, we do not know them. You say Janet would not let them be exploited, she has did it to herself. I am not trying to down her, but look at Janet. Michael has always been knowing of being decent and respectful with his entertaining, the majority of his fans or audience are young that is why I am glad he did not leave them to Janet, because she is not decent and respectful. I don't know her as a person, but then again the way a person entertains, such as the type of videos they make and the songs they sing shows what kind of person they are. I just wish his mom would have respected the fact that he was not raising his kids on the Jehovah Witness doctrine.

the article here says the kids aren't wearing the face masks anymore. Debbie Rowe told ABC in her public interview a few years ago that was her request to have the kids wear the masks because of so many threats to kidnap them. If that is true, I think that shows Michael was respectful to even his ex-wife to do that, which I am sure he also didn't want the kids exploited and targets of kidnapping

Evidently, Michael thought his mother would be best to raise his kids. Personally I wouldn't have chosen her, knowing that Joseph will be involved somewhat.
Michael's substitute for his mother was designated as Diana Ross. What happened with that? Did she back out? She hasn't been mentioned at all on this page.
Of course Janet offered, with all the money that comes with it. She may have her own, but the rich always want to get richer, that's a fact. The story says she has bonded with the kids since Michael's death. If she were a good auntie, she would have bonded with them well before Michael died!!!
I'll be surprised if the rest of the family doesn't try to get in on the bandwagon.
Although I think Paris was "coached" in her funeral speech, she didn't seem maladjusted to me. I just wish I could have seen the boys as well.
Michael was trying to protect them from the public, and I think the kids understood that. He WAS their father, whether donated or adopted or whatever, he was their legal father and that's all that should be said about the matter. Rowe should be kicked to the curb immediately. She was no kind of mother to them at all and is just interested in the money as well. I would hope a judge would know that. From what I previously read, she signed off on her parental rights, so there should be no argument for her now.
I was definitely not a fan (except when they were the "5")but I'll never believe the charges he faced. They were all money-making scams, and those kids (the accusers) will no doubt be messed up for the rest of their lives, no matter how much money they "made" off of him.
I believe he did the best he knew how considering what he had to work with. He definitely didn't have role models in his parents.
