Ian Halperin claims a will exists that hasn't surfaced yet.
And in "Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson," Halperin says Jackson was a victim of doctors who got him hooked on prescription medications after Jackson's hair caught fire as he filmed a Pepsi commercial in 1984.
Halperin also writes he's concluded Jackson never molested children, and he asserts Jackson was gay and may have been anorexic.
"I'll predict today, on your show, that we definitely -- this is not the last we've heard" about Jackson wills. "I think there will be people challenging the authenticity of the 2002 will in the coming -- in the near future," he told "Early Show" co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez Thursday.
Halperin got that info from "sources in (Jackson's) camp," he told Rodriguez.
He says his research completely changed his view of whether child molestation charges against Jackson were true.
"I first got involved in the case back in 2005," Halperin recounted for Rodriguez, "after he was acquitted of the child molestation charges. I was furious. I thought we had another O.J. Simpson-type case on our hands, with high-profile lawyers getting a celebrity off the hook. So I wanted to really let the world know that Michael is a child molester.
"But four years later, thousands of interviews and documents later, I conclude 100 percent that Michael Jackson never molested children, and he was just a victim of extortion attempts and people trying to bring him down."
Halperin also portrayed Jackson as a victim of his doctors, saying Jackson's hair catching fire during the filming of a 1984 Pepsi commercial "was definitely the start" of Jackson's heavy involvement with prescription drugs, "but it didn't have to become a dependency. I don't look at Michael Jackson as being an addict. I look at him being dependent because he had all these illnesses and he needed them to live. Without the medication, I don't think he could have survived.
"But this incident back in (1984), I think it was the perfect opportunity for doctors to take advantage of it and to get him to become dependent on prescription drugs and to up the level of the drugs he was on. And that's where I find the injustice is.
"These doctors, I hope, are investigated thoroughly by authorities and are brought to justice, because Michael Jackson deserved a much better fate. Let's face it, he was the world's greatest entertainer, one of the greatest humanitarians I've ever encountered. Michael Jackson was not given justice in his life, and I hope the people who enabled him are brought to justice."
Halperin defended himself when challenged by Rodriguez on his use of two unnamed sources as his main ones in "Unmasked," sources Halperin refers to as Jackson "confidantes."
"Well, a lot of sources are named in the book," he said. "Some aren't because..."
Those two main sources "signed confidentially agreements," Halperin continued, "but I will prove everything in my book easily. The people coming out of the woodwork, they've only come out since Michael's death. Everyone has known I've been working on the book ... for years, and that my book will be the definitive account of what happened to Michael during his final years, and I also have 300 hours of footage to back everything up. So, if people want to be detractors, I urge them to read the book first before making any judgments."

- I am and always will be a Michael Jackson fan.
In my opinion, this book is not a good read and just a waste of time.
Please have more respect for yourself, his family, friends, and fans and find something more acceptable to read on your time. Do not help this paper papperazzi make money on a book that has unnamed sources and I feel would never have been recommended by Michael Jackson. I fell like this man is an ambulance chaser in the worst way, litteraly.
Michael Jackson was a great entertainer and I feel an overwhelming number of human beings treated him in an unkind, unheathy, non human thoughtless cruel way. He wasn't perfect and who is? None of us, not even the Pope or our clergy men and women, or our politicians, or our judges, or our media, or our writers.
Now for a bullet point:
> We were impressed with him when he was just a little child
> He controlled a stage and the camera as well as the microphone
> He brought us musical progress like no other
> He entertained us to a level no one had before his stardom
> He loved his mother like we all wish our sons would
> He adored, protected, and provided very well for his children
> He professionally helped his siblings with their musical careers
> He never wanted to speak against his siblings
> He was found not guilty in our judicial system
> He was a rich successful famous man that loved and protected his minor children the best he knew how and not like the parents that took payment instead of calling for justice in court for their accusations of harm in any way against their critically ill minor child
> He suffered from second and third degree burns on his head from a Pepsi Commercial. If your head had those burns would it be painful and uncomfortable. Would you need pain killers? Are they known to be addictive to the famous and just the neighbor Joe next door?
He was a human, a man, a father, a son, a brother, a friend, a co-worker, an employer, an entertainer, an interesting tabloid story, a speaker for a new world, a helper, and an individual.
He kept me entertained, and a believer, and knowing that life can change and make new paths for anyone.
So I say again, I feel this book is not a good use of our precious time here on earth.
Let us spend time well on all the wonderful opportunities that are not made from the sad untimely death of a human that brought great entertainment, curiosity, and fun music and dancing to our fast paced busy quick lived lives. - Reply to this comment
- This book is disgusting. And I am sick of people slamming the name and reputation of Michael Jackson, that goes for this book and anyone else who has ever said and continues to say something negative about him.
This is the very same crap that has caused Michael Jackson so much pain in his life. And it is just one more example of how people do not realize the impact, devastation, and destruction they have, by their actions and words, on other humans.
Michael maybe gone but his children, his family, his friends, and his fans are still here. And this hurts us. And thought what is being said about him may not effect his human person, I am sure that it effects his soul as it surely effects all of us remaining.
This book, dangerously borderlines, what I feel, defamation of character, if it is not a full blown example. When? When? When? Some one please tell me WHEN will these monster predators stop this crap??? And, when? when? when? will these people be held responsible for what they do?
Hasn't anyone figured it out that Michael Jackson was a HUMAN BEING?
We may have saw the celebrity. We may have saw the showman and the showmanship. We may have seen the strong, brave face of Michael Jackson but did anyone think that Michael was someone who could and did cry?
Michael was a HUMAN BEING, first and foremost before he was ever was the boy or the man that was in the spotlight.
Michael had feelings and emotions like all of the rest of us because he was HUMAN. And when it comes to Michael Jackson there is no respecting the fact that Michael was HUMAN.
I am so sick of it because I feel this man has never been given a break. From the beginning, from the first rumor and allegation he was conceived as guilty. No one stopped to consider that he was telling the truth. It is so disgusting. This man, this incredibly brilliant, vivacious, beautiful, caring, loving, gift from God was constantly persecuted. And now we mourn him? Why? Is it because we realize we were wrong to feed into the media's lies? Or do we mourn because we realize that we really did and still do love Michael Jackson?
But, you know what? He is still being persecuted. This book is just one more way to persecute, defile, deface, and destroy Michael's name, his reputation, and his dignity. It is disgusting.
I am appalled by the fact that this book is just one more way for people to make a dollar and have their 15 minutes of fame, at the expense of a deceased man who can't even defend himself against these statements.
And, I find this book to be the greatest form of capitalism, inhumanity, and defilement that I have ever seen.
Here it goes again, someone else milking the cash cow - Michael Jackson.
And, let me just say this book, for what I understanding was ready to hit the shelves originally on July 7, 2009. This date is, ironically, the day before the original opening date of Michael's tour in London. But, this book was held off because of the tragedy of Michael's passing. Go figure. What a coincidence.
This is the exact kind of garbage that used to make Michael cry "MERCY". How do I know? Read the words to his song "SCREAM". It is pretty insightful.
I pray for people like this, people who continue to act this way. It just shows that they really have a hard soul, almost a lost soul without compassion, without feeling, without a sense of humanity. It is almost animalistic. No, animals don't act that way. This is beneath being an animal. This is evil. - Reply to this comment
- I want add here, most of what he wrote in his book are very easy to find on internet or easy to get. So about the accusations about MJ, it was not so hard to find he was not guilty , without any big search.

- I read Ian Halperin book, and I can't see any evidences of what he wrote. So, if he can't show us the evidences, for me that's mean he lied and still lie. Many things in his book really don't make sense.

- To all that have criticized Michael over and over again, you should all be ashamed of yourselves. He was an unbelievable entertainer, humanitarian and person. We will all reach the day where we to will be judged and I know where all who criticized are probly going. GOOD LUCK to you!!!! My prayers and thoughts are with his beautiful children and caring family. Hopefully Michael is now free of any emotional and physical pain. Lets all keep hearing his fantastic music and dancing to it.

Seems like you are having issues with the gay population? Have they turned down your sexual advances along with the heterosexual populus!
- I am having a problem with the part of the population that has taken this freak show so seriously for so long.
Michael Jackson was train wreck and everyone just stood there and watched as he went flying off the tracks. He is gone, but he left a lot of carnage behind him and still nobody has been able to shake themselves free of the train wreck to actually think about the victims.
Those three kids that he left behind may be kept in insolation from the world, but they have to be starting to be aware of the sick circumstances of their birth. Everybody just has to get a look at the kids and argue about who gets custody, but those kids are slowly awakening to a life of psychological torment that will probably end with madness or suicide. But nobody thinks about that.
It was the same thing with the Rock Hudson/Jim Nabors story. The tabloids played up this big story of how they were supposed to be getting married and even came up with a supposed wedding invitation.
It was all a lie, but it destroyed Jim Nabors career. But, that didn't matter to any of you at the time. You were to involved whatchin the train wreck to care about who got hurt.
You are all so smug and self righteous, but you love a good train wreck.

- It seems that Melvin has come forward
JULY 15, 2009...8:20 PM
Well-known ?good Samaritan? Melvin Dummar claims that he unknowingly picked up Michael Jackson in 2007, who was hitchhiking with a roller skating chimpanzee on a remote Nevada road. Jackson had shoulder length hair, a sequined glove and no discernable skin color.
According to Dummar, Jackson asked to be taken to a boy scout jamboree in Oxnard, and paid Dummar $135 cash for his trouble, which was all the money he had at the time. According to Dummar, the man also promised to give Dummar ?a million dollars,? as soon as the banks opened the next day. Dummar did not know who the man was, and thought he was just telling stories, so he did not go back to the jamboree to collect the money.
Boy Scout personnel in Oxnard claim that they are unable to discuss the matter due to a settlement agreement with Jackson.
Dummar?s attorney released a statement this morning stating that Jackson?s estate owes Melvin $1,000,000 plus accruing interest, a sequined glove and one of the Jackson children who was fathered with the sperm Dummar loaned to Jackson in an empty Pepsi can.
- It seems that Melvin has come forward
- I am waiting for Melvin Dummar to show up.

- What I don't understand about Ian Halperin is that, on one hand, he seems to be supportive of Michael and rallies against the people that preyed upon him. On the other hand, he drags us through the same sensationalized muck in exploiting Michael Jackson's sexuality debate and personal life. Do we truly want the lurid details, especially unauthorized? And now Michael Jackson cannot even issue a rebuttal - how convenient. There seems to be a lot of hear-say and a lot of gossip from people that just want a piece of the pie. And, Mr. Halperin, just how much of that pie is going to line your pockets? In the spirit of Michael Jackson, will you donate to a cause? And in closing, no, there will never be another Jackson, not like Michael.

- Didn't you just know that Michael would become the subject of ridicule once they posted the Pepsi accident video? He was at work, doing what he does best, performing, and a terrible accident occurred due to neglect and unsafe practices. Second and third degree burns; don't think there's much to laugh about there. What compensation he received he apparently turned around and donated. That is a selfless act.

- That video has been out there since it happened and was probably one of the first videos posted to youtube. So what is with this about it just surfacing?
Either the people who are reporting this are stupid or else they think the people watching it are stupid.
