Fl. Cops Arrest 4 for Sex With 12-Year-Old

(CBS)  Police in Clearwater, Fla. Say they're investigating a case involving a 12-year-old girl who had consensual sex with several adult males.

According to Clearwater public information officer Elizabeth Watts, the girl was reported as a runaway Sunday. She was located at an apartment Monday where Watts said the sex took place.

At least four men have been arrested so far and charged with sexual battery and more arrests are expected, Watts said. It was not immediately clear how many men were involved in the underage sex - or in what capacity - but one source told CBS News the number could be as high as 25.

Watts said the police would release the identities of the suspects early Tuesday.

I am sad to say since moving to Fla. from California last year I haved noticed there are an inordinate number of sexual predators here. With that, there is increasing number of sex crimes. Don't understand the connection, sexual predators vs. sex crimes......hmmm.

Do you think the sentences may be a little LAX down here? I think so.
