Jackson will be buried at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills, which not only boasts a unique collection of architecture and statuary but also the final abodes of countless legends of film, TV and music - including some who, like Jackson, died too soon.
The cemetery does not publicize which celebrities may be found on its grounds, or where, but there are several Web sites that aid fans in finding their favorite stars of the past.
According to seeing-stars.com, Forest Lawn's Hollywood Hills location has fewer celebrities than the cemetery's older Glendale location, but there is no shortage of luminaries.
Among those buried at Hollywood Hills are Bette Davis, Charles Laughton, George Raft, Dorothy Lamour and Gene Autry.
Comic legends Buster Keaton, Stan Laurel and Marty Feldman are also here, as are renowned TV stars Lucille Ball, Jack Webb, Telly Savalas, Steve Allen, William Conrad, Isabel Sanford, John Ritter and Ozzie, Harriet and Ricky Nelson.
Also buried here are comic book artist and "Batman" creator Bob Kane, and James Bond producer Albert ("Cubby") Broccoli.
Among the musical artists buried here are Liberace, Lou Rawls and Andy Gibb.
Complete coverage of Jackson's life and death
Recently interred are David Carradine, who was found dead in Bangkok on June 3, and Ed McMahon of "The Tonight Show," who passed away June 23 after a long illness.
Two Forest Lawn residents who died too young are Freddie Prinze ("Chico and the Man"), and Brad Davis ("Midnight Express").
And it's not only people: animal star Benji is here as well, according to findagrave.com.
