(CBS)  The dog days of summer are upon us, and that means Americans are going on vacation.

But what happens to people's pets?

Some people find a sitter, but some pet owners -- an estimated 29 million -- will be taking their pets along when they travel, according to the Travel Industry Association.

Oh, the things we do for our pets. As if having dogs and cats labeled as "indoor only" pets isn't enough, now we have special carrying devices so we can tote them around with us wherever we go.
