Lisa Lavoie, 24, was arraigned Tuesday in Hampden Superior Court in Massachusetts on three counts of aggravated rape and abuse and three counts of statutory rape.
Lavoie and a 15-year-old student were reported missing Feb. 16 and were found a week later. She was fired from her job.
Lavoie already pleaded not guilty in March to enticing a minor. Her attorney, David Hoose, says the new charges were not unexpected.
He says Lavoie is "very upset by the whole experience that she went through."
She is out on $25,000 bail.

See all 52 CommentsWe can step back and ask how did this happen. What made her snap.
Or we can just go about the routine, and take one more shot at a young woman who is a trained teacher, and probably had over stressed teaching responsibilities, and was crying out for help, when there was none. How many kids were in her class ? What time did she have to start her day ? Was she forced to work long hours at school functions ? Was she abused as a child herself.
Blame is easy.
understanding and dialogue is difficult.
If I were a female and went along, the adult would be raped in prison.
Form,
Perhaps it's my NY state of mind but this sort of thing seems to be happening more frequently between teachers and students.

I agree. Many appear to want a dork without a real man behind it.
24 year old FEMALE teacher sleeps with "young man", "feels bad" about it and is released on bail with a slap on the wrist coming.
No double standard here.
I think a lot more female teachers would be doing it, except the majority of the group inclined toward it, have enough personal restraint to stop themselves before they go too far! Jail acts to deter them! For others, it doesn't!
But, I do think it's a power and control issue for most of these people!
He responded to his critics with the remark that "the heart wants what it wants."
Sign of the times.
This is what happens when the moral boundaries of a nation erode.
It has nothing to do with the nation as a whole.

She's an adult. He's a child. Therefore it is rape.

It is patently unfair to cast all American women in thes light but I'll agree with you on one point - the majority appear to be raised thinking they're a princess.
Parents apparently, somewhere along the way, started raising their daughters not to look for a good man, but rather, one who will continue spoiling and pampering them.
I dated many American women and invariably one of the first questions out of their mouths is a query to establish a man's income. No second date for those floozies.
I don't expect subserviance but neither will I put up with a "princess" attitude.
Third world women are much more realistic in their expectations than most American women, in my book.

Sheesh.
