People StyleWatch Picks For This Season's Must-Haves

(CBS)  It's summertime and the living isn't so easy for some fashionistas, since almost everybody is on a budget.

"You don't need to spend a fortune this summer to look good. There are a ton of great buys out there," says Lori Bergamotto, a contributing style editor of People StyleWatch magazine.

People StyleWatch has taken the guesswork out of summer shopping and picked the must-haves for the season.

- For summer, a lightweight blouse is a versatile staple.
- We love the one, by Ella Moss - the pattern and ruffled necklace are sweet and fun with a relaxed pair of crop pants, but throw on a blazer and you can just as easily take the colors in this top to work or more serious events.

- These are the perfect shorts for a summer vacation -- they're cotton, so they won't get wrinkled in your suitcase.

- Be a trendsetter this summer! While gladiators are going strong, this season is seeing more variations on stylish flat sandals. We love the snakeskin detail and geometric cut-outs.
