(AP)  "The View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck has been accused of plagiarism.

A lawsuit in federal court in Massachusetts alleges that Hasselbeck lifted "word for word" content from a book on celiac disease written by a self-published author on Cape Cod.

Hasselbeck's book, "The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide" has appeared over the last month in several best-selling lists.

The lawsuit was filed by author Susan Hassett, who says she sent Hasselbeck a copy of her "Living With Celiac Disease" book as a courtesy after the TV celebrity disclosed she had the illness last year.

A lawyer for Hassett declined to comment Tuesday. A phone message left with Hasselbeck's agent, Andy Cohen, was not immediately returned.

Oh, that is just hilarious.
Christians sure need to straighten up their acts. The worst people are calling themselves Christians.

I can't stand this self-righteous b*!ch.
If it's proven she plagiarized, I'm going to laugh my head off.

...don't you think thousands of others could use identical or almost identical language, phrasing and terminology to describe their surgeries?

Yes, people would probably be close in describing it, but it wouldn't be "identical". It sounds like it was "word for word".

Good I hope Elisabeth Hasselbeck gets sued for all shes worth. I never did care for her on The View.

Me too! I hate to be nasty, but she's a dimwit. Her voice actually grates on my nerves. Maybe even more than Palins. : )

Many medical conditions are written about in identical fashion, from site to site or book to book, because of the terminology involved. If you say you had a cholecystectomy instead of having your gallbladder removed on your website and described details of the procedure and recovery, which all were "normal," don't you think thousands of others could use identical or almost identical language, phrasing and terminology to describe their surgeries?

You worthless neo-cons, you only have one thought: "NO!" This stupid c... has been parrotting the neocon talking points all her (YACK) career, and, of course, when she is called out on it, your only response is "But, but, uhhh, OBAMA, he is Muslim, he pals around with terrorists, he was not born in America, HE'S A SOCIALIST (do you idiots actually KNOW what a socialist is?), and so on and so on.
This air head has no right to be on television, and if ANYONE is taking advise from her, well, they get what they deserve.
Meanwhile, the rest of you neo-cons, go gnaw on your worn out ideals while WE fix your messes. Oh, reagan is the devil, not a GOD like you all make him out to be.

Hasselbeck is so dumb that she probably didn't write ANY of her own book-- not just the plagarized part, but the whole thing! She's the kind of person who seems to think she's "entitled" to everything she has... so there's no need to do any actual work, like researching and writing her own book. So, what I think really happened is that the ghost writer she hired to write the book for her figured she was too dumb to realize it, so that person just copied the other book. Hasselbeck probably never even read Hassett's book, so she published the ghost writer's "work" as "her own work"! But I could be wrong. Maybe she is both stupid AND evil, and she did steal Hassett's work.

Hardly surprising, she has NO talent other than being an annoying b*tch on TV. Was her sole claim to fame based on her being a "loser" on Survivor?
