Trump To Miss California: You're Not Fired

(AP)  Miss California USA can retain her crown even though she failed to reveal she had posed in her underwear as a teenager, pageant owner Donald Trump said Tuesday.

Carrie Prejean appeared by Trump's side as he made the announcement at New York's Trump Tower.

Trump also defended the answer that Prejean gave at last month's Miss USA pageant when she was asked her view of marriage by judge Perez Hilton, a celebrity blogger. She said she believes marriage is between a man and a woman.

"It's the same answer the president of the United States gave; it's the same answer many people gave," Trump said. "She gave an honorable answer; she gave an answer from her heart."

Trump said he and other pageant officials had reviewed racy photos of Prejean and decided they were acceptable.

"We are in the 21st century. We have determined the pictures taken are fine," he said, adding that "in some cases the pictures were lovely."

After Trump spoke, the 21-year-old Prejean, who was accompanied by her parents, took her turn at the lectern, defending herself against what she described as vicious attacks.

She talked about getting thousands of letters and e-mails from people supporting her and said, about the marriage question, that Hilton had asked her a "politically charged question with a hidden personal agenda."

"I stated my honest belief," she said.

Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, is best known as a celebrity blogger but has also branched off into gay rights advocacy.

Newster1: It's probably a good thing that you don't have children since you obviously hate them so! In spite of what you said, most unwed mothers, don't hate their children because they know that it isn't the child's fault that they are born! That is those with a heart and common sense anyway!

For your information I would adopt a child in a minute if I could afford it, but I can't. My income won't allow it. I was one of those children that you're talking about. My parents adopted me when I was one year old. My birth mother could no longer take care of me and was about to place me in an orphanage along with my older brothers. That is why I'm very much against abortion. Considering the situation that I was born into, I could very easily have been one of those aborted babies. I THANK GOD every day that I wasn't! My mother didn't hate me and she loved me enough to do what was best for me and give me up to adoptive parents who loved me and could support me.

I also consider abortion to be murder and with today's birth control methods there is absolutely no excuse for it! If I could prevent it I wouldn't allow even one penny of my tax dollars to fund abortions!

Newster1: I can tell you what concerns me is that MY tax dollars are going to fund abortions, atheist groups and organizations like the ACLU, gay activist groups, pork projects such as the study of the American beatle and such trash as that!

Newster1: Christians have been burned at the stake, too! Remember Joan of Arc? The apostle Paul was beheaded and Peter was crucified upside down. James was boiled in oil. Stephen was beaten to death with stones and the list goes on. There have been thousands of Christians in the last two thousand years who have been martyred for their faith!

Fighting4Freedom: Keep on fighting the fight! I am one of you and I completely agree with you! We have got to take a stand against the evil that is assaulting us in these last days! If we don't all of our rights as Christians will be taken away! We are being assaulted on every hand! If we so much as mention that we are Christians or if we make a statement such as Miss Prejean did and uphold the Biblical definition of marriage or even uphold the Bible or Christianity in any way, we are slammed and criticized and downright hated by every atheist and gay rights group and groups like the ACLU in the country! In many cases if you are a public figure like Carrie Prejean and Sarah Palin they will actively do everything that they can to discredit you and ruin you and bring you down! We have got to stand and fight!

Only Satan makes a claim that Christ is dead, or direct servants of him. The Pharisees sent Christ to the cross, they consider Him dead to this day, just like YOU do.

Your religion doesn't matter to me. Why would I care about YOUR Scriptures? They mean nothing.

Nothing.

Humans told you about them, and you swallowed them hook, line, and sinker. You listen to Man, not God.

You will wish you had listened, too, when you're on your deathbed and about to leave this world and you know that your condition is terminal and there's no hope for your recovery! That is IF you have a deathbed and you're not taken out suddenly with a heart attack or in a accident!

Anyone who can make you believe an absurdity (dead guys come back to life) can also make you commit an atrocity (waterboarding).

you should change your name to nancy dunce. people have come back from the dead. i have read where people were clinically dead, some saw a white light, then came back to life. as for waterboarding, it's not torture. if you knew anything about history, which of coarse you don't, the torture done through history is way worse. like the rack, dismembering, burning, bed of nails, the iron maiden, and on and on. waterboarding is not even close to torture. and why in the world would you bring something like that up in the post on miss cali? because you are a dunce. go worship your obama. hate to tell you, he can't help you after you kick the bucket, but jesus can.

Right! the morality is almost clear to me. Athletes can't use steroids, but Prejean can enhance her breasts, be a bigot, and lie about photo shots.

well yet another gay pretending to be straight, nice try. first off she's blonde, second she is not ridiculous, perez hilton is. all she did was answer a question, while perez cursed her, no class. i'll put my support behind miss cali, while you can put whatever you want behind perez hilton, but don't forget to wrap the weesel, he looks nasty.

Hey picklepants,
I'm not gay and this chick is ridiculous. This whole pageant is a sham along with the Trump man himself. Who cares what this dumb brunette thinks of marriage. Doesn't affect me one way or the other. She's a liar but yet she claims to be Christian. Man, the people you right-wingers choose for your talking heads...it's a riot.

LOL.. first off you're not straight, you're probably as crooked as a dog's hind leg. i assume this as fact, the same way you assume i associate people into one catagory.

LOL...first off, I support gay marriage and I'm straight. Second off, I applauded this woman for saying what she believed. It could not have been easy to do that in front of the crowd and a gay judge. But if she believes it, then she has a right to say it.

But you most likely won't acknowledge that because you would rather just associate people into one category
