"City Island" Wins Tribeca Audience Award
The viewers at this year's Tribeca Film Festival have voiced their opinions and awarded director Raymond De Felitta with a top $25,000 cash prize.
The 2009 Heineken Audience Award winner was celebrated for his film, "City Island," which depicts Andy Garcia as Vince Rizzo, the patriarch of a struggling nuclear family in the small-Bronx community for which the film is named after.
Garcia's real-life daughter, Dominik Garcia-Lorido, portrays his character's daughter in the film, Vivian, who turns to stripping while home from college.
Julianna Margulies and Ezra Miller also star as mother and son, respectively. The former "ER" star appears here as Joyce Rizzo, a mother who feels unsatisfied in her marriage and decides to attempt to pursue an affair. Meanwhile, as Vince Jr., the youngest family member in the film, Miller portrays a teenaged-boy with a peculiar fetish for overweight women.
Just several days prior to winning the Audience Award prize, Margulies, Garcia-Lorido, and Miller all spoke with CBS News about their characters and the anticipation leading up to the premiere in New York.
