The "Sex and the City" star and her actor-husband are expecting twins through a surrogate pregnancy, representatives for the couple said Tuesday.
Star magazine reports that the woman carrying the babies is a 26-year-old divorcee and is nearly seven months pregnant. The magazine says she's being paid "tens of thousands of dollars" and adds, "The tykes will be born in (Parker's) home state of Ohio."
Parker, 44, and Broderick, 47, "are happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate. The entire family is overjoyed," said a statement from the publicists.
The couple has a 6-year-old son, James Wilkie Broderick, and will mark their 12th wedding anniversary next month.
Details about the surrogate and her pregnancy were unavailable, the publicists said.
Parker starred in the "Sex and the City" TV series and the hit movie of the same name. Broderick's credits include the films "Glory" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and the Broadway musical "The Producers."

So is Madonna. Look out for famous rich women who get the "baby bug." Don't you dare get in their way. Husband is just a means to the end. Once the babies start popping out of the baby vending machine, hubby takes a back seat. All about the kids.
It's not just a couple men who think this, rather, most of the male culture finds this woman rather unattractive.
She looks like pale, flat-chested horse. Plain and simple.
How she ever got on a show called "Se*x and the City" is beyond most of us.

I agree completely.
It sounds like it was an accident, not murder. And I'm sure not a day goes by that he does not think of it. If he wasn't punished as thoroughly as you may think he should have, that is a fault of Ireland's justice system, not Broderick's.
I doubt that anyone posting comments can attest to her health, perhaps after having her first child she was told by her doctor not to try for more and at 44 (my age as well) she may be considered high risk and chose a surrogate. Who says this child in not biologically theirs anyway?
We all know what a reliable news source the Star rag mag is now don't we!
To all of those raising hell that they're not adopting existing children: Adopting is an option, not a requirement. My sister and her husand adopted two infants because in vitro was not an option and a surrogate was not an option. Unless you've been through the struggles of trying to conceive and being unsuccessful, how can you have such a mean, vindictive opinion on this?
And as to Matthew Broderick's accident in Ireland where two women were killed, these kinds of accidents happen all the time. My father was killed in an accident and the person(s) at fault didn't go to jail. It's not like Broderick was drinking.
He and his 'people' manipulated the authorities at the time of the 'accident' - clearly he was negligent in the deaths of those women, for which he received no punishment. He caused their deaths and got away with murder and you're on about reconciliation - again, you miss the point.
and to richardj3901, sarah jessica parker is not "so ugly." she is among some of the most beautiful women on tv.
And when will Broderick face up to killing two women in a road accident in Ireland - the b a s t a r d!

- Quite brave in admitting they're using a surrogate. Most likely it's donor eggs as well.
