(AP)  A European official says some Guantanamo Bay detainees will be released in Europe - but not to his country.

Ivan Langer, the Czech Minister of Interior, told The Associated Press he believes some European nations will accept Guantanamo detainees, but not his country.

Langer spoke after hosting a meeting of European officials with U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, who asked them for help in finding homes for those detainees that can be set free.

The top justice officials of several countries met in Prague Tuesday to finalize new treaties on extradition and criminal investigations. Many are pressing the U.S. to supply more information about detainees before accepting them.

Desert people in europe, they will love it freezing thier a---es off for the rest of thier life. They can't go to thier home country. Not right off . They will have worm around and disappear until thier bodies show up in dead pile somewhere for doing the same thing. I would be p--se at the Us and would would take vengeance asap . If this were me and I was innocent. And kept locked up. My lifes mission would be revenge and they will show up later , wait and watch.

Perhaps if the countries that are candidates to accept these people want to know more about them before accepting them into their country, they might want to consult with an individual's home country as to why they will not take them.
Somehow, to me, that says a mouthful. Makes you wonder what they know.

I've got a suggestion! Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney were the ones to set up that d*mn place!

Divide the remaining prisoners into TWO groups. Send one group to Bush in Dallas to live with the Bushes', and the other to the Cheneys', whereever they're living, now!

It's only FAIR! THEY CAUSED THAT WHOLE MESS! They should have some part in fixing it, too!

Besides, they have MORE than adequate means to take care of these guys, too. And they should!

Since Europe did not support our housing of terrorists, I think it is a fine idea for them to be released on European soil. Let them have equal rights there.

While there still is separation of church and state, and mind you, this nation was founded with slavery and allowing marriage of slaves with bounds to be broken upon sale....children and wives and husband split....

How about group marriage so that there is always someone to care for the more elderly of the group...??? even unions with gays and lesbians and lots of kids from the fertile wives....???? or even arranged marriages for young kids and babies ??? Sound unreasonable? That is where the ethical separation of church and state will take you.
Better to maintain the genetic engineering of the next generation in the context of those who bond together than allow the state to genetically seed new citizens or provide adoptions to state-approved morality parents.

That is what citizenship consists of in a perpetual state that outlives the founders....conformist citizens who provide the state with taxes for operations.
