(CBS)  CBS News has learned the Rhode Island Attorney General's office will announce more charges and begin extradition proceedings early this week for Philip Markoff, the 23-year-old medical student alleged to have committed a string of crimes against women after meeting them through the online classified site, Craigslist.

Markoff is expected to be charged with the robbery of a stripper who was held at gunpoint in a Warwick, Rhode Island motel room. Police have reported that fingerprints in the hotel room matched Markoff's, reportsCBS News' Fred Balboni.

Markoff is currently being held in a Boston jail, charged with the April 14 murder of 25-year-old Julissa Brisman, an erotic masseuse beaten and shot to death in a Boston hotel room, as well as the robbery of another masseuse he met four days earlier in a different hotel.

Not sure she is a gold digger as she was further along in her pursuit of MD. He's a psychopath. Probably was able to fool everyone for a long time. I feel bad for her.

I believe I heard his fiance' is a medical student as well. If so, she will make here own money as a lot of other women do.

Can we blame this on his girlfriend for not paying enough attention to him? She is still in disbelief and blames herself. Could there we something there?

She wanted to be rich and and to view herself as important. Her way of doing this was to marry a med student, and in my opinion. buy herself a medical degree. That sure sounds like gold digging to me..

Ceres6-- If that's what you got out of the woman's story -- just a harmless attempt to kiss her....then you are one scary dude! He pinned her to the wall and would not stop when she resisted! Clearly a predator. if you think that's OK behavior, then you are as sick as he is!

You will let us know when they convincned you won't you?

The authorities still haven't convinced me. The suddenly have fingerprints after they have him in custody - his inky fingers very handy for creating evidence.
Their captured pics do not look like it's he.
They apparently had him under observation for who knows how long.
Where are the awful admissions of his deeds ?
Don't they have a single text to share ?
I think they had better do a lot better than NIFONG, or i'll continue to figure the powers that be need a convenient patsy.
About the only thing that makes me think they might be correct is his desire to be a doctor, which could mean blood and guts doesn't bother him.
I find it quite fascinating - all the hatefilled little public torch bearers screaming their class warfare and even hatred at his fiance'.
I suspect the powers that be are even filthier than the public in their general behavior - I can just imagine what miniscule inference it takes for them to scream their have their monster - if the guy blinks or sighs I'm sure it's evidence - or maybe he stares into space in their interrogation and torture room and that makes him guilty - because of course all of you are behavioral psychologists of sherlock holms and freudian proportions.
Whatever, well see, but the news never gets the benfit of the doubt EVER again, and that includes ALL the authorities - THEY HAVE TO EARN THE TRUST THEY LOST A LONG TIME AGO.

I don't know if Mr. Markoff is guilty or not. However, they media unfairly made a big deal about a kiss he tried to give a woman, but she refused. The way she explained that experience, it looks like she was trying to get revenge, because he later decided for a different woman to have a permanent relationship. She tried to portray him as a monster just for a kiss, after they were both drinking late at night.

. He looks pathetic, bewildered, and drained from all of this publicity and the ultimate consequences of the choices he has made.

The way he juts that jaw out reminds me of Bill Murray in "Caddyshack".

You can't figure out how guys like him "tick" - there are too few and each is different. The weirdest part in some ways would be as to how he got Brisman's panties. Since she resisted we likely assume that she was dead or dying when he took them. That puts him in a class virtually by himself, along with necrophiliacs.

Lor303 - you want to cry for him and his family? How about crying for the victims if he is proved guilty. His parents raised him I suppose - and taught him his values and virtues.

The fiancée is a medical student? Where did you get this? If I read correctly she was scheduled to attend an off-shore medical school. I think we all know about them.. She wanted to be rich and and to view herself as important. Her way of doing this was to marry a med student, and in my opinion. buy herself a medical degree. That sure sounds like gold digging to me..

I have followed this story from the initial news break regarding the robbery and killing in Boston. Two or more women were robbed and then one shot and killed. Each time I look at the photo of this guy I just want to cry for him and his family. I can't imagine myself in his situation. Yes, caught, red handed. He looks pathetic, bewildered, and drained from all of this publicity and the ultimate consequences of the choices he has made. His life and other's lives ruined beyond comprehension. One's mind's eye could only capture the picture of these bewildered women who were robbed and threatened with a gun. Or the struggle given by the woman who was ultimately stopped from fighting back? What in God's name has our society become, ie., hookers, thieves, murderers?

He would have made a good doctor. You'd never be able to read him by the look on his face.
