In Part Two Of Exclusive "Early Show" Interview, Cindy Anthony Reveals New Details

(CBS)  Cindy Anthony reveals to Early Show co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez that she wrote suicide note.

The admission came in part two of the The Early Show's exclusive interview with Casey Anthony's parents, to be broadcast April 23.

"I couldn't bear not having Caylee around and not knowing what happened to her," Cindy Anthony said. "You get to a point when you miss someone so much, that you think life's not worth living."

Her husband, George Anthony, discussed his own suicide attempt in part one of the The Early Show's interview, but it was not previously known that both grandparents of slain 2-year-old Caylee Anthony had thought of ending their lives.

Cindy and George Anthony defended their daughter, while adding that they wanted to know more about what happened last year when their granddaughter went missing.

Cindy Anthony stood by her daughter, even as Rodriguez questioned her about her 911 call in which she said that her daughter's car smelled like a dead body.

"She's presumed innocent," Cindy Anthony said. "The truth will come out at trial, and that's what we have to wait for."

Caylee Anthony's body was found in December 2008 in the woods near her Florida home.

Casey Anthony, 23, has been charged with first-degree murder and could face the death penalty, if convicted. Her trial is set for October.

Here is my thoughts on this whole thing, First, supposidly casey couldn't find her car, it had gone missing (if I remember right) so how did her mother find it? Second, If casey and caylee were living with cindy and george (as she said on the show) then why didn't ANYONE question the little girl not being around for 31 days? Next, the bail bondsman said that he witnessed casey and cindy fighting, but yet, cindy talks about casey on tv like there were never any problems, if so, then why did cindy want to take caylee away from casey? Next, why did cindy have to "prep" herself for the deposition and remember page numbers and what was said excetera if she isn't hiding anything or covering up for casey? Cindy contradicts herself on tv, she said that she wants to know what happened, when asked if she asked casey what happened, but then she also during the 2 interviews says that she stands by casey and knows that she didn't do it, which one is it, didn't do it, or wants to know what happened? Why didn't they ever go after the "Nanny" and try to track her down when they were told by casey that the nanny took her? also, why would casey need a nanny if she was living at home with her parents and she wasn't working? Also, who in their right mind leaves a 2 year old on the front steps of a nannies home when dropping her off for the day instead of going inside with her? according to her, that is what she did that morning when caylee went missing. If casey has nothing to hide and she didn't do it, then why doesn't she just tell the truth and if someone is after her, then tell the police who are there to help, instead she makes up lies after lies and waste peoples time and efforts and her daughter is right where she left her. If your not guilty you have no reason to lie and you would do anything and everything to get your child back, not her though. Lastly, where are the tears for caylee, this daughter and grand-daughter that they supposidly love so much, the only time I ever see tears for caylee from the grandparents was at the funeral, and casey shed on tiny tear during her araignment I believe it was, other than that, nothing, no emotions, Why do they (the anthonys) think america is so dumb, we can all figure it out, stop playing games and wasting americans money and tell the truth for your daughters/grand-daughters sake. Finally, I think the brother knows more than he is saying, why would he have to speak in code if he wasn't hiding something too. this whole family is messed up. I can't wait for the trial, this ought to be a good one. Caylee, I'm sorry you had to be born into a family like this, I know that your justice is coming hunny, just hang on and mommy will pay for what she has done to you. We all love you caylee, rest in peace.

Has anyone every seen this women shed a tear? If you see the other cases of missing children all there reactions are of shock , disbelieve, sorrow, sadness. Shes not.

If it's true she wrote the notes, which I doubt, I wish she had followed through. She's a waste of life like her daughter. She created Casey. I don't just mean by giving birth to her. I mean Casey is a result of what her parents created. They let her be this selfish, sociopath who murdered her child and has lied and stolen from anyone she could.
Just think about this folks, Who steals from their GRANDFATHER'S Nursing Home fund??? What kind of person does THAT?

Abby, well said! I too believe that Cindy is trying to get sympathy. If she truly thought Caylee was still alive, why would she want to kill herself? Wouldn't she want to be around to see her come home or to help with the investigation into finding her? Bottom line is you can't believe what they say. I wish CBS would ask them some real questions and take off the kid gloves. They don't deserve it after all the lies they've told.

CBS has done a great disservice to all of the families affected by suicide. Neither of these grandparents are victims, nor did either of them make a valid attempt. This was a ploy by the family to evoke sympathy.

Someone who wants to commit suicide feels elation...not depression because they see the light at the end of the tunnel. They put their affairs in order, they say their goodbyes and then make a valid attempt. They do not leave repeated messages and leave hours for a search to happen. They kill themselves. This is a case of two people throwing a temper tantrum to get what they want and by condoning and coddling them, CBS has discounted the grief of hundreds of thousands who have actually felt the effects of the death of a loved one through suicide.

Also...ask her why a recorded message on John Allen's phone indicated that she knew Caylee was dead long before the body was found.

If there is information that could help free Casey, why not go to the Orange County Sheriff's Office and give it to them if it will prove her innocence? Why let her sit in jail and wait for a trial to show the "real story". Go now and tell them the real truth that will come out in trial now. Or do you have to wait for Baez to come up with a bunch of different stories to see which one will be the most believable? If there is a real story tell it now, don't wait. We are all dying to know what it is!

This nasty grandmother is the underlying cause for the grandchild's death. Everyone knows it, The lying is a family tradition. May they all rot in h*ll.

Cindy and Casey are so selfish. Casey kills her daughter for her own gain which landed her right where she needs to be. Cindy is being so selfish to her grandaughter by protecting her daughter. Its one thing to be a supportive parent but when you know in your heart your duaghter killed your grand daughter and you continue to lie and obstruct justice for her thats wrong. I dont think these grandparents cared about Caylee because if they did they would do the right thing. Instead they are thinking that Casey is all that they have left. Who cares I would rather see her in prision than to be walking the streets. I also think they know exactly what happened to Caylee and thats why they are both suicidal nuts. Caylee is gone forever and instead of being on the right side of the law and helping serve justice even if their daughter gets the death penalty they choose to lie not only to themselves for the public. We all know their liars and now know where Casey got her talents and morals. Its true that Casey wont get a fair trial but its because of Cindy and George Anthony and their big mouths anger issues and they cant get their stories straight. I have an Idea why dont they just stop the BS and come clean with what they know so that their little grand daughter didn't die in vein. what a huge lie.....Cindy is far too narcissistic to injure herself in any way...:"head-casey" learned well from Cindy...this whole sick mess was set into motion by Cindy when she vetoed the adoption ...this has always been about Cindy and her make believe good image...her patsy hubby(sorry George) 2 . 5 kids and a white picket fence on hope spring dr.....Casey was the family lose cannon...Casey & Cindy have been battling for control since day one...her getting knocked up gave Cindy's pretty family image a black eye...the only way she could going so far as to lie to her own brother that a 3rd trimester Casey was simply bloated with female problems...great medical skills Cindy..the only way for Cindy to spin the unplanned pregnancy was to paint Casey was a noble single mother....in Cindy's head adoption was admitting a giant crack in her pretty picture...Casey is guilty....but Cindy has blood on her hands too...Cindy gets to wake every day knowing Carlee would be alive and well in loving adopted arms....had she not overridden what may have been Casey's only good idea...may G-D forgive these wretched people.

These parents are no better than Casey Anthony, its one thing to support Casey its another to lie and be in denial of the obvouis truth. They must not of really truley cared for this little girl if they cant even do the right thing and quit protecting Casey in the name of their grandaughter. CBS, please do not insult the intelligence of your viewers with any additional interviews with George and Cindy Anthony.! I am switching channels to hopefully tune into "real" news, not the obvious pack of lies, story-changing and utterly unbelievable description of events being proferred by the Anthony's. The Anthony's have had months to "rehearse" their version of events -- I think they should have been jailed for obstruction months ago - does anyone really believe that they did not think Caylee was dead early on in this tragic saga?!? Enough! Let the trial take place -- please save the tapes from today's interview -- Cindy Anthony will be telling a different story after the trial. It will be interesting to compare today's comments with her comments after the trial is over.

Wow, these people never quit lying!!! Now Cindy wanted to kill herself BEFORE she found out if Caylee was still alive? That admission alone, if it is true, only leads me to believe that she knew they weren't going to find that baby alive or why else wouldn't you be exausting all your efforts in finding your grandchild rather than writing numerous suicide notes! CBS: I am disappointed that you have paid the Anthony family so much money to allow them to continue to lie about their knowledge of the case. Caylee was the love of their life and yet they have cast her aside in their attempt to protect Casey. No one faults them for loving Casey and even supporting her throughout this horrifying ordeal that they are enduring.

But people do not want to hear them spout all the lies that they are currently doing. They need to stop being on TV and making statements that contradict previous statements that they have made. They are not helping to portray themselves as being honest citizens and most importantly, they are not helping Casey one bit. The Anthony family is coming across as very dysfunctional and in need of some serious help.

It is so difficult to see them on television promoting their part as being advocates for missing children. What did they do to search for Caylee? NOTHING!!! None of the Anthony family participated in searches for Caylee. They toted the sign around and solicited money for searches. But yet was the money spent on specific searches?

Caylee was suspected to have been murdered from first day that the police was called in to find her. The smell in the car was evidence enough for the police to begin looking in that direction, along with the fact that her mother didn't report her missing for 31 days!!!

How many mothers would not be torn apart with knowing that someone had their child? They would not be out partying, living with their boyfriend, avoiding seeing their parents, and stealing checks from friends.

The normal parent would be asking for help in finding their child that was missing....they would ask all family, friends, and the police for help in finding the 2 year old child.

Cindy's explanation that Casey was afraid to ask for help because the family was in jeapordy of being hurt, just doesn't hold water for me and many others. Especially with the knowledge that she was out living it up with her boyfriend, partying almost every night. How in the world can Cindy support and believe that?

Most importantly, if your company was paying the Anthony's for their appearance on your show, why didn't you get your money's worth? You should have been asking questions that the public wants to know. If you had done your research better, then you would know that the Anthony's have made many conflicting statements during the last few months. Asking them to explain why they have so many different statements would make for a better interview. Spending up to $60,000 for the information that they gave you is a real waste of money!

It is a shame that the Anthony's are not the least bit embarassed to make money off the death of their grandchild! And to know that that money will be used to help pay for the defense of Casey is even more shameful.

The decisions that the Anthony family makes now may come back to haunt them in the future. They need to seriously think through their actions before they act on them.

May God bless Caylee's memory throughout this ordeal. It seems that many people in our country care for her more than her own immediate family.

Please ask the Anthonys why they were removed from the agenda as speakers for the Melanie Ilene Rieger Memorial. I think the public would sincerely like to see an unrehearsed response from them, and I would truly like to know what is their answer. I would also like to know why, once Caylee was found and the family was no longer in fear of being harmed, hasn't Casey come forward with the information they claim she has that would put the alleged monsters behind bars. I'm dumb-founded by the Anthony's.... Are they for real? Suicide attempts; contemptuous disregard for society; lies & anger; free trips, 5 star hotel suites, fine dining,numerous comps we haven't heard of... And now their attorney (Brad) jumps on board, I suppose the Anthony's can also have the advantage of all the "handicap" amenities now that Brad travels along with them... I do not wonder why Casey is the woman she is.... Look at her role models.... At this point, I think the Anthony's are taking advantage of the situation...
When I think of the dignity that Sharon Rojas exhibited throughout her nightmare she endured (Laci and Connor Peterson). I'm flabergasted in comparison by the acts of the Anthony's. The proceeds from Sharon's book go to a search organization. So far the Anthony's have SOLD pictures of their beloved grandbaby..... I would be willing to bet the farm that the Anthony's will/have profit one way or another with "under the table" offers... I'm also willing to bet that none of those proceeds will go to the search organizations that worked countless hours on the wild goose chase for poor little Caylee. Shame on the Anthony's.... They pleaded for help from the media & the public, once they realized their daughter was the guilty party... The Anothony's are damning the very same people they sought help from. Perhaps people wouldn't be so harsh with them if they would quit pulling "a Casey", and fess up & deal with it... Quit trying to lie thru it --- Perhaps your daughter wouldn't be where she is right now, had they not always covered for her lies with lie of their own... I would have more sympathy & respect for these people if they would admit what they know.... keep their mouths shut and let the cards fall where they may. Maybe if they had done that from the beginning, the "death penalty" would have stayed off the table.....
