Photo Essay Farrah Fawcett: 1947-2009 The flaxen-haired actress, who got her start as an "Angel," lost her battle with cancer.
The 62-year-old actress, who was first diagnosed in 2006, was hospitalized in Los Angeles after a routine treatment for anal cancer, which has spread to her liver.
The procedure caused bleeding inside her abdominal wall.
Fawcett's physician, Dr. Lawrence Piro, told People that Fawcett left the hospital Thursday with longtime companion Ryan O'Neal.
He said that the pain the actress experienced has subsided, and that Fawcett is looking forward to celebrating Easter at home.
A phone call early Friday to a representative for Fawcett wasn't immediately returned.
