The French society magazine Point de Vue says wedding bells will finally ring out for the two this summer, reports CBS News correspondent Mark Phillips.
He says the beaches of St Tropez may be lacking in Euro-royalty this summer because William and Kate will be walking down the aisle. if the magazine is to be believed.
It says European royalty have been quietly told to keep their summer schedules free so they can attend the as-yet-unannounced wedding of William and his now on-again girlfriend.
It's a revelation that has come as a surprise to British royals watchers -- and most likely to the royals themselves. Phillips notes.Photos: Kate Middleton

"You say one thing," observes Mail on Sunday Showbiz Editor Katie Nicholl, "and then Prince William goes and does another, but I just think, at the moment, things are solid stable and good, but not necessarily ready for an engagement just yet."
No one is denying that William and Kate are a solid item again, Phillips points out. They found that breaking up was really hard to do after their announced parting of the ways two years ago, which was followed by an un-announced, but widely understood, resumption of the relationship.
William is in the news for an entirely different reason, as well. His father, Prince Charles, on a visit to the Galapagos Islands, has named a tortoise after his first-born.
Royal wedding plans, however, seem to be moving about as quickly as the tortoise now known as William, Phillips says.

- guyw9, we Americans are fully entitled to state our opinions, anywhere and anytime. The only caveat is that we need to understand just how stupid those opinions may make us look.
You're not looking terribly bright,.
Cheers. - Reply to this comment
- LOL! Vittoria, given that you "claim" to live in the United States, you of all people should understand that people have a right to their own opinion and are entitled to state their opinion.
My opinion is that Waity Katie is a two bit gold-digger in disguise, and it is obvious why she sought to become "ROOMIES" with Prince William at University! The irony is that PW will end up getting married to the sycophants that he detests! :) - Reply to this comment
- Sorry, guyw9, but I've never met the woman or her relatives, and I live in Chicago, not the U.K.
However, I always find it interesting when people behave as though they are intimately acquainted with the minds of public figures they've never met. Why is that, I wonder? - Reply to this comment
- LOL! vittoria1, you are clearly one of those awful social climbing Middleton relatives who are trying to campaign support for Katie on the Internet by posting the same comment about "now knowing Kate" over and over and over at the various websites....

- guyw9, if you're not aware that girls at schools with uniforms routinely roll up the waistbands of their skirts, then you've led a sheltered life. As for whether Middleton has always been hoping to marry Prince William, the odds of her ending up as his housemate and then marrying him just because she decided to attend the same university were rather high, don't you think? Diana had a far better chance of getting involved with Prince Charles, and it seems that she planned to do so quite early on.
You don't know Ms. Middleton, none of us do, so we're in no position to know what she thinks or what she was thinking at the age of 18. She doesn't give interviews, she's been admirably discreet. Our opinions don't matter anyway. She's got something the prince likes, and his views are the only ones of any importance in this situation. - Reply to this comment
- Waity Katie is a two-bit golddigger in disguise. Some singer Pierre Lewis said that she used to roll up her skirt and show off her legs to fetch him when they were in school! Ha, we all know why Waity Katie sought to become "roomies" with Prince William at University. We all know that she has ALWAYS been after that royal engagement ring!

Hey, thanks..... Sounds like you know your stuff on the topic. I remember lots of people who stayed up into the wee hours of the morning to watch Diana and Charles get married. I didn't, because I was busy with my own wedding at the time. Let's hope this marriage will end up better than Diana and Charles. - Reply to this comment
- Congratulations to them whenever they decide to tie the knot.

- signtwo, I second klewt's suggestion: grow up or get lost.
Medeasbiggestfan, she would be Princess William first and later, Catherine, the Queen Consort. Apparently, her family and friends have never called her "Kate." That seems to be a media invention.
The Queen might award William a peerage on his marriage, though I've read that while this is normally done for a monarch's sons, it is not usual for a grandson. If William became, say, the Duke of Cambridge, then until the prince succeeded to the throne, Middleton would officially be "Her Royal Highness, Catherine, the Princess William, Duchess of Cambridge." Another possibility would be that Prince Charles, on his accession, would create William the Prince of Wales, in which case Middleton would be the Princess of Wales.
That's assuming these two get married at all. - Reply to this comment
