(CBS)  The world's only living octuplets are now six weeks old.

Most appear to be doing very well. Some weigh over four pounds, but the two smallest are on feeding tubes.

Mom Nadya Suleman took Entertainment Tonight's Thea Andrews to visit the babies the babies in the hospital, Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Medical Center, outside Los Angeles, and Andrews shared some of the experience with Early Show viewers Tuesday.

Andrews says that, away from all the hoopla and controversy surrounding Suleman's decision to have the octuplets despite already having six young children, all 14 via in-vitro fertilization, Suleman gets to bond with the new arrivals in the quiet of the hospital.

First, Suleman cradled Noah, a blonde, and the first of the eight to be delivered. He weighed just one pound five ounces, but is now over four pounds, as are a few of the others.

"And he's very healthy," Suleman says, " and his monitor shows that he has really strong heart rate."

Malia, says Suleman, is "also doing really well. She's on full feeds every three hours. She's getting bottle-fed."

She says the babies know when she's there "based on smell. They understand the voice. They know the voice."

Isaiah, says Suleman, is "pretty big. He's doing really, really well. Full bottle feeds. Open your eyes, Angel! ... He's almost completely ready to go home."

The other girl is Nariah the other girl. "I think her weight is almost -- it's going up," Suleman says. "She's a really good size now."

Makai, she says, is "also doing really, really well."

Jeremiah is "also on full bottle feeds," Suleman says.

The two tiniest, both still on feeding tubes, are Josiah -- "still little, but really, really strong" and who'll be bottle feeding soon, Suleman says, and Jonah, at two-and-a-half pounds, the smallest of the eight.

Suleman didn't pick him up, but softly said, "I'll come back and hold you. I love you."

The eight still aren't out of the woods, Andrews says. Suleman has to scrub in like a surgeon for three full minutes before entering the ward and has to sanitize her hands every time she touches a new baby.

Suleman told Andrews four of the children may be ready to come home any day, but she wants to move into a house she's about to get first, and professionally baby proof it, before any of the infants leaves the hospital.

Suleman says the doctors recommend a minimum of a dozen nannies to help her out, and talk show host Dr. Phil McGraw says she's going to accept an offer of 24/7 neo-natal nursing help from the organization Angels in Waiting, an offer she earlier appeared to be spurning.

I am a responsible tax paying middle class poor working man with kids I am responsibily raising with my wife - did we want more - yes. Did we decide, responsibily that two was all we could reasonable afford? Yes. I am sick and tired of hearing about this woman. THERE IS NO STORY HERE TO REPORT - unless it is that her kids have been placed into protective custody and she has been placed on a 72 hour phych hold. Please give us a break - This isn't news.

Dear Harry Smith,

I adored you when you were on A&E....since this time and being on this show you have ruined your reputation with me. And its a shame. Why do you keep shoving this woman down our throats? We dont care. I am poor. I have always worked and I have one child. So your show is encouraging women to have litters so the tax payers can pay for them. I would have put you up there with Walter Cronkite. No longer. To me you are now no better than the idiot that is on Entertainment Tonight.
This lady is nothing but a "User" And you are allowing it.
This morning I turned you off. I will no longer watch your show.
You had my respect. You now have my sympathy for being in such a pitiful show.
You may have made this idiot a new star. But by doing so, you star no longer shines so bright. Instead of being a trusted newscaster, you are nothing more than a fool that is writing the Star Magazine. Is this where you wanted to be? Its a shame. You should have been doing CBS nightly news. Instead you are no more than a woman on the View.
Sorry Harry, What a let down. GET THE WOMEN WITH 14 KIDS OFF THE SHOW. We as viewers and tax payers are sick of the treatment you people are giving her. She is not a star....she did not find a cure for a terrible disease. She is a sick fool. But keep giving her air time. I will no longer watch you.

Saw a part of her on Dr. Phil. In my opinion, most people are really not interested in her, feel sorry for her children and Dr. Phil is loosing his credibility by having this wacko on the show and acting like this is all perfectly ok. She is totally narsictic and this is exactly why she had all those children...to get attention for herself. Oh, and all the plastic surgery she had, I'm sure that was for the sake of the children! She looks ridiculous, afraid she really missed the mark if she was trying to look like Angelina Jolie. She looks more like an Olson twin..only scarier. I feel ever so sorry for all those children. They will spend their life were her being exploited and never never know what a normal life is. Obviously she intends there to be no male influence as she claimed she was going to be celibate for their sakes to prove to the outside world she is putting them first. For God's sake...she didn't really need a man to get pregnant in the first place. Can't figure out how in the world she had a back injury that cost her marriage but could carry an litter of kids at one time like a dog! Just a singling pregnancy can play havoc with the back! She is just a lying, self centered, psycho B**ch and who knows what will become of those children. It is totally wrong for her to profit from this as she obviously is. Any money made for having those children should be put in some kind of trust for those children to and controlled by someone to make sure it is used solely for supporting those children and their needs. Otherwise, who knows what plastic surgery she will get for herself next...sure she'll need a major tummy tuck and maybe next week she may decide to look like Brad instead. She's a nut case and those children really need protection. this is one sad disgusting story with fourteen victims. Who ever does have any kind of power to insure the kids are protected and taken care of properly needs to do so. She could never get outside of herself enough to really care.

OK let women out there who don't have a job get pregnant and have 6 to 8 kids.

Hey welfare will take care of it, with money but who will give these kids loving and care as parents?

That's what's wrong with this country kids don't know who their fathers are and have no mother love.

Here Nadya who was using her mothers retirement check to live on and treated her parents bad ended up now with a house, money ect.

I thank the News media and Dr Phil in broadcasting her about the kids and now she is better off then people who are working and trying to keep their jobs.

And now what's going to prevent others from doing the same!! Only in America.

This situation has certainly captured the attention of the world!! I am so thankful that the babies are all doing well, because they are the innocent part of this and deserve to have as normal a life as what they can. Their idea of normal will always be different that the normal that my children have, or anyone elses children have!! They are the only octuplets that have all 8 babies living, therefore their entire lives will be chaotic and full of media attention. Normal for them will always mean being in the public eye, and this is not a decision that they were able to make, but a decision that was made for them.
I believe the mother should "ready her home" before bringing the children home, and I also believe that the older children should get settled into it before the babies come home -- even if this means just for 1 night.
Wow, the lives of the older 6 children will never be the same again. They will never have the attention that they should, as there are so many children requiring attention from the mother, and they will not have much one on one time with "mom." I think this is so sad. The biggest concern at this point and time is for the children to be healthy and live in a thriving environment, so they can all grow and have as normal a life as what they possibly can. Time will tell if Mom will be able to give them the attention that they need or not. We can not see into the future, but I do hope and pray for the best to come out of all of this. I am not going to cast stones at her, because I pray for the best to come of this situation. She has a long road ahead of her and so do all 14 of her children.
We can't change what has happened, but for the sake of all the children, I think it is time to set aside so much negative attention on this family. The children will be the ones to suffer from this, and I believe they have enough to deal with. They need positives in their lives! The negative is not good for any of the children.
I for one will be excited when all of the babies are healthy enough to leave the hospital. It is not an ideal situation to go home to having full-time nursing care providing all of their care, but at least they will be well cared for, and for that I am thankful.

It's not up to Dr. Phil or Angels in Waiting.
Just because they may be ready to go home does not mean California Child Protective services is going to release eight infants to someone whose actions with six already have been so questionable.
That is a larger house but is still too small for 15 people. Let alone adding nannies and cleaning ladies.
Even doing the laundry, grocery shopping or cooking will be a full time job.
Except for the master, the bedrooms are small. And It is not built to be a particularly kid friendly house. The noise level off all that marlble will be just staggering.
it will be very crowded and she already lives a chaotic lifestyle with six.
Disorganized, messy and irresponsible. Why add more kids to this mess just to prove she can't do it?
And her mother is taking her cut and planning on leaving.

I watched today?s show (Dr. Phil) and I see no difference in Nadya and don?t have a better opinion of her as Dr Phil said we would. She said that she feared Dr. Phil and his opinion of her and yet a few weeks ago she said the same thing about Orphan being the only one she feared in that respect.

This is nothing against Dr Phil or Angels in Waiting but Nadya feels safe now because other care givers will be caring for her children 24/7 and not her. I?m still completely disgusted by her, her excuses and actions. Angels in waiting will not be there forever and then what?

I hate to say this but Nadya is playing a game of pretending to be a grown up and it?s an act. The children will need lifetime care not 6 months of it.

When Dr Phil asked her about the rumors that she would sell the birth video she admitted she is still thinking about it, she lied about the reason her latest publicist left and also said she lived in her own home while pregnant which is also a lie . She not only lived with her parent throughout al lof her pregnancies but they were the ones who supported her and the children and raised them.

Victoria, why are you such a hater??? Our President has not even been in office for fifty days, and he has been left an incredible burden. Regardless of political opinion, we should not hate, give him some time, and lucky you live in a democracy, in four years you can change things.
Hate does always take more energy from a person than a little bit Aloha......
Take care Victoria.
