(CBS) In our continuing holiday series, "The Perfect Gift," it's shopping for the Fashionista. Pamela Edwards, Beauty Editor at Essence Magazine has bags, accessories, makeup, fragrance, and other small and stylish finds.
"You say the Fashionista is also the Recessionista this year, what does that mean?" The Early Show co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez asked Edwards.
"The Fashionista exudes incredible style, and the Recessionista is a Fashionista who's watching her dollar," Edwards said. "So we've got gifts for both the Fashionista and the Recessionista."
"So Fashionistas love labels, let's start with a designer fragrance," Edwards said. "Prada, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, there are a zillion out there, it's a wonderful gift for a Fashionista. Also, the "it" fragrance launch of the year is this, the Harajuku Lovers. They're adorable."
Rodriguez asked Edwards to tell people al little more about them.
"Well basically, Harajuku is a region in Japan and Gwen Stefani is so inspired by the women there, they're incredibly fashionable," Edwards said. "And these are only $25 and there are five of them actually, so you can give one, two, three, whatever you want.
"Then if you're intimidated by fragrance, a medley is nice, too. Jo Malone has this collection of six fragrances. You can wear one or you can layer two." Edwards said. "So then you don't have to worry about exactly which fragrance to get someone. Candles are always a fantastic idea too, you can't go wrong with that."
