A New York judge is set to decide if Bernard Madoff should have his bail revoked. As Randall Pinkston reports, new reports have surfaced that his own family are among the victims.

(CBS/AP)  The names of several thousand clients who lost money investing with Bernard Madoff have been released in a court filing that reads like a Who's Who: former Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher Sandy Koufax, actor Kevin Bacon and even Madoff's defense lawyer.

The names, including those of Madoff's relatives, numerous celebrities, dead people and charitable institutions, are listed on a 162-page document filed late Wednesday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan.

Each page carries 84 single-spaced lines. Some customers are listed multiple times, presumably because they had multiple accounts.

The customers include prominent people and institutions that already had been publicly revealed, such as the Wilpon family, owner of the New York Mets. The amount each person or institution invested with Madoff isn't listed.

List of Bernie Madoff's Clients
One client is Ira Sorkin, the attorney who's defending Madoff against charges he perpetrated the biggest financial fraud in history. Others include Madoff's wife, sons, brother and other relatives.

The list was compiled by AlixPartners LLP, a Dallas company hired as claims agent by the trustee overseeing the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC.

Prosecutors say Madoff admits he lost more than $50 billion belonging to investors. Defense lawyers say he has cooperated with authorities to help identify assets.

Madoff hasn't been indicted. He's being held under house arrest at his multimillion-dollar penthouse.

This Madoff scandal is MUCH bigger than is being currently reported...some of his bilked investors are faking it...they are pretending to be taken all the while knowing exactly where their money is overseas. Included in this conspiracy are government players and other business players. Notice that a lot of Madoff''s close friends and associates have ALREADY received TARP funds. Notice that a lot of the people benefiting from the fake work in Iraq are close associates and friends of Madoff.
There is MUCH more going on here than is being let out to the gullible public.

Bit of a conflict of interest with his Attorney probably being one of the ones that would be forced to pay back profits taken out of top of the pyramid if he is found guilty of fraud. When a pyramid scheme collapses and convictions are obtained (sometimes when they are not as well) the civil litigation that follows sometimes requires the "winners" to pay up their profits to the "losers" are part of the financial settlement.

Hmmm of course if the attorney is a winner maybe there IS no conflict since she is also protecting herself by protecting him. However if the attorney is one of the LOSERS who would benefit from his conviction, I would have to stay there is a definite conflict.

This being a "Jewish" scandal, why should anybody be surprised when the Jewish icon Sandy Koufax is also swept up in this mess.

All greedy folks - Mr. Bernard Madoff, Madoff''s wife, sons, brother and other relatives and several thousand clients of his. Hard-lesson learned - when one gets too greedy, one will get burned somewhere down the road! I sure hope none of them expect Federal bail-out from abusing tax-payers'' hard-earned money - because every single one of those greedy folks deserve their losses from nothing but their own greed!

There should be no question why he got away with it, the regulators are all Wall St. people too, they got paid to look the other way. Mr. Cox was just one of the boys with their hands out.
The Bush administration fought against any kind of regulation of the "markets", the speculators made and stole billions and the people suffer.

Although in this case I laugh a lot because some of the greedy big boys got took also, now they are crying the blues!!!!!!!!
