Mother charged with murder of little Florida girl

(AP)  New evidence in the case of slain Florida toddler Caylee Anthony shows that her body was placed in a laundry-hamper bag and then secured in a plastic garbage bag before it was left behind in the woods.

Documents the state attorney's office in Orlando released Wednesday also show the girl's mouth was covered with silver duct tape that had been adorned with a heart-shaped sticker. Duct tape also was attached to her head.

A utility worker found the 3-year-old's body last December in woods near where she lived with her mother and grandparents. Her mother, 22-year-old Casey Anthony, has been charged with killing her.

The toddler was reported missing to authorities in July, almost a month after she was last seen. Her third birthday passed while she was missing.

Separately Wednesday, authorities released a recording of Casey Anthony talking to her parents during a jail visit last August.

Casey Anthony, 22, told her parents she was just as much a victim as anyone else in the case during the recorded visit at the Orange County Jail in Orlando.

At the time, Casey was in jail on charges related to the disappearance of her daughter Caylee. She was charged with first-degree murder in October.

In the video, Casey Anthony cried and got angry when pressed by her parents for information about Caylee's whereabouts. She even threatened to end the conversation.

"This is seriously the first time I've been angry, that I've been frustrated to the point where I can't even think straight at this moment," Casey Anthony said. "The worst part is nobody can see my side and I have to keep my mouth shut."

Caylee's remains were found in December by a meter reader in woods near where Caylee lived with her mother and grandparents. Four months earlier, meter reader Roy Kronk had made three phone calls to the Orange County Sheriff's Office about his suspicions that remains were in a bag he had spotted in those woods.

A sheriff's deputy responded to the woods but didn't see a need to investigate further. That deputy was removed from patrol duty this week pending an investigation into his response.

A former attorney for Casey Anthony's parents, George and Cindy Anthony, rewarded Kronk Friday with $5,000 for finding the remains. The attorney, Mark NeJame, said he had received $5,000 for his work on the case and felt it was right to give the money to Kronk.

Chick should have thought about her wants to continue to party like she had no responsibilities before she had a child. When you have a child it's time to grow up, life is no longer about you it's about your child. A mistake she may have made, but where I come from you pay for your mistakes. I think she should pay with her life. Just as sweet lil Caylee did even though her only mistake was being born to a family full of(in my opinion and many others I'm sure)selfish children

People are repelled and disgusted by Casey. I had an epiphany when I was a young father and realized I would sacrifice my own life for my children. Never had that feeling before. Casey is nothing more than another murdering maniac. The best disposition of Casey is to study her, analyze her and euthanize her.

She commited Murder Period .She strikes me as a spoiled child.Always wants it her way.Now the lawyers will say she needs help she is sick.Fine cure her then give her the needle not in 20 years in 2 years that was all the life she gave the baby. This is not an indictment on society .Society didn''t kill the child the mother did.If you fall for this *** "oh it was her upbringing or she had a problem with this or that we don''t understand her plight" give that garbage a rest .NO MORE crutches NO MORE give her a second chance B.S.

OK well, here is how murderer Casey Anthony did it: lack of compassion, lack of humanity, lack of morals, lack of decency, lack of love. That''s what she lacks, but here is what she posses: greed, selfishness, immaturity, laziness, stupidity, cruelty, violence, brutality. I''d say mental illness, but unfortunately for her, she has VERY successfully demonstrated that she is PERFECTLY fine throught this entire thing!! It will backfire when she can''t use the insanity plea when they find her fingerprints all over that tape, the rest of the role in the house, with the sheet of heart stuickers, and one sticker missing.

This very sad case is beginning to unravel now...It is just a matter of time before it all comes out...Every member of the Anthony family is caught up in such a horrendous web of lies, it is no wonder that George Anthony wants to die...They have gone so far in this story that it is almost impossible to back up at this point....even if they (Cindi, George, and Lee) wanted to.
