Lohan, Gal-Pal HAVE Split: Perez Hilton

Perez Hilton's celebrity blog, PerezHilton.com is one of the most popular - and provocative - celebrity gossip destinations on the Web.
And now, he's out with a book he wrote with Jared Shapiro, "Red Carpet Suicide: A Survival Guide on Keeping Up With the Hiltons."
On The Early Show Saturday edition, Hilton discussed the book, who his sources are, whether he regrets any of his postings, what he calls Hollywood's "Twelve Steps," his predictions for 2009, his top five gossip topics of '08, and lots of other juicy material.
He also talked about what a "hilton" is and being confronted by Victoria Beckham for calling her a "robot" and an "alien."
Hilton asserted to co-anchor Erica Hill that he holds himself "to journalistic standards. I don't make up stories, which is more than I can say for a lot of the celebrity magazines, who flat out print lies week after week. I do take what I do seriously."
And he provided some breaking celebrity news, saying Lindsay Lohan and her girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, are done.
"She's denying it," Hilton said, "but they have broken up. She's moved out of the house they shared together. She's now looking for her own apartment."
He added he thinks it would be "wild and amazing if Lindsay, of all people, started dating Paris Hilton!"
