Baseball Official: Minnesota Twins Owner Carl Pohlad Dead At Age 93

(AP)  A baseball official says Minnesota Twins owner Carl Pohlad has died at age 93.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity to The Associated Press on Monday because the family and the team had not yet announced Pohlad's death.

Pohlad was a billionaire banker who oversaw two World Series titles in a five-year span. His image then took a hit by threats to sell, move or fold the franchise unless the Twins received a new ballpark.
