Your Chance For An Inauguration Ticket

It's a chance to get tickets to President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration even without connections to people in high places.

The Obama inauguration committee is giving people a chance to win a trip to the inauguration by writing an essay on what the event means to them.

A minimum donation of $5 to the Presidential Inaugural Committee is requested, but not required. The essay is mandatory.

The fundraising effort is intended to help raise money to support the inaugural from small donors and avoid the traditional lobbyist and corporate donors of years past.

In all, 10 people will be winners, with each being allowed to bring a guest.

The inauguration panel will provide transportation and lodging, a ticket to the swearing-in and admission to an official inaugural ball.
