Hundreds killed as Israel pounds Hamas security installations.

(CBS/AP)  Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni says there are no plans to occupy Gaza, after two days of airstrikes in the Palestinian territory and the callup of 6,500 Israeli reserve soldiers.

Speaking Sunday on "Meet the Press," Livni says the Israeli assault came because Gaza's Hamas rulers were smuggling weapons and building up "a small army."

But, she said, "Our goal is not to reoccupy" the Gaza Strip.

Some 280 Palestinians have died in the first 24 hours of the campaign against Gaza rocket squads - most of them Hamas police.

In response, thousands across the Middle East are protesting the air assault.

Livni's comments come as Israel's Cabinet authorized a callup of at least 6,500 reserve soldiers, suggesting plans to expand the offensive with ground forces against Gaza rocket squads.

Israel launched some 250 airstrikes over the first 24 hours of the campaign. Infantry and armored units were already headed to the Gaza border for a possible ground invasion.

I am writing a bedtime story, what do you think so far?

You get tossed from your home, because the world has nowhere to toss their trash. The world now finds what they think is the %u201Cgarbage can%u201D (your house) and discard a band of nomadic parasitic gypsy merchants in it.

You are in the street now with your children, and are a little pissed. Your neighbors are pissed off also, not only because they have bandits living next door but the bandit%u2019s dearest friend %u201CBlue Ball%u201D who moved gypsies into your house is kicking the sheet out of the towns surrounding.

If you dare to recover your stolen property from the gypsies, all they need to do is whistle! And dear friend %u201CBlue Ball%u201D will drop the kids he is bullying, and come running to the rescue.

Blue ball has an idea! Let me give my gypsy friends an %u201Ceverlasting%u201D box of whoop arse. So I can continue kicking the sheet out of everyone else, and not need to run to his aid as often.

Its no big deal really, I keep the everlasting box of whoop arse fueled with the food I steal off the tables of idiots I am sworn to defend.

Now gypsy if those terrorists try to recover one ounce of their property, or if they start tossing rocks at you, open this box and it will kill a few hundred of them at a time. Maybe that will discourage them.

Try not to open it too often, because I am running out of food to steal to keep it fueled.

The Palestinians are nothing but cowards! They hide behind women and children and teach their own kind to wear suicide bombs just so they can blow up women and children in Israel. Then they think there will be virgins waiting on them in heaven.

I have news for them; the only thing waiting on them is the fires of HELL! The God of Israel is the true and only God and He stands with the people in the place where He put His name.

Praise be to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

BRdeckard said:

"Israel should carpet-bomb Gaza"

It`s already been done, near Amman, the Jordanian capital, by JORDAN.

In the 1970s, Yaser Arafat and the PLO attempted a coup in Jordan from their base in a refugee settlement near Amman.

The Jordanian response was swift and decisive.

Their Army and Air Force shelled and bombed the Palestinan settlement indiscriminately, relentlessly and mercilessly until no-one fired back.

After 3 days, 20,000 Palestinans, most of them women and children, were dead, murdered by their brother Arabs.

Jordan hasn`t had any problems with the Palestinans ever since.

They showed the rest of the world how to deal with Palestinians.

Meanwhile, Israel is being condemned for the superhuman restraint it`s shown in dealing with these feral thugs.

They''ve no intent to occupy - then they might see the hungry children they deny supplies to, then they couldn''t pretend like they''''re not responsible for what they''ve created in Gaza with their blockades and attacks.

I think the rocket attacks caused it.

No rockets = no blockade, do the math.

Yeah, kill one of ours, we''ll kill 20 of yours - so civilized - and so stupid. And with both sides running on vengeance for the innocent women and children killed by both sides - the Israelis have killed many innocents - not to mention all those they starve and dislocate as they steal their land and blockade food and humanitarian supplies - it''ll never end.

So, establish a 2 km barrier in the Gaza strip where no building is allowed, and then establish sensor sites which can triangulate any rocket or mortar launch area, and immediately retaliate and wipe out that attack site with massive attacks. Just maybe they''ll get the message: kill one of ours, we''ll kill 20 of yours.

Israel''s goal is to occupy and dominate that entire region. The USA with AIPAC''s arm twisting of our USA politicians is assisting in that goal.

Our corrupt weasel politicians have made the USA a puppet to Israeli influence.

We should be neutral and wield a big stick to solve this peace problem. But we''ve become a bully and proxified wimp under the total influence of Israel just as Ariel Sharon had stated.

After Israel gets done with the Gaza Strip there will be no one and nothing to occupy. So much for the Jewish Faith as a religion which "sanctifies life"! Time to cut off the oil pipe lines to Israel''s military.

Q: If Jews only comprise about 2% of the global population.
(Likely a bit more exist in hiding afraid to be identified for periodic extermination) how is it that they are always the epicenter of war, and death of millions who protect their existence?

A: Because too many retards don%u2019t allow natural selection to run its course, thus disallowing natures ever-present stride to maintain balance and heal wounds. If we continue to allow this infection to exist by supporting it, far greater numbers than 2% will perish needlessly.

I am not a proponent of exterminating Jews. However I don%u2019t think they should not be supported by anyone but themselves. Fewer people will perish, and those suffering from Jewish toxic insult will have a chance to defend themselves, lick them out of their open wounds, and heal peacefully.

The Palestinian claims on Israel --are similar to the USA
and the plight of the Indians.

The Indians owned America -- The various nations and nationalities came over and bought, killed, swindled and marginalized the Native Americans-taking their land. The Indians fought back but finally realized the cause was futile - They were given some land back and limited financial help in return .

If the Indians came today and demanded back the Country and started terrorizing citizens to get it, the US govt. would retaliate --
So instead of fighting a greater power with Guns- The Indians got smart--
They took the land they were given - bided their time--and eventualy -Built Casinos --
Now they are getting back the white mans cash--- Money and respect for their tribes.

Palestinians --- Stop fighting --- start building your country on the land that you have--

Be good neighbors and in time goodness will prevail--

You will never get it all back --Just like the Indians in America.--
But if you work with Israel they will begin to give back some (not all) of what you lost.

Violence only begets violence!!!
Jordan and Egypt have both lived side by side with Israel-
Learn from their example!!!

closethippy1,
Thanks for the post.
Just to frame your position, Israel must ask for permission from sworn enemies to become a nation? The UN doesn''t count - or they don''t matter to the Arabic world that declared war on Israel 1-day after declaring themselves a sovereign nation?

"Honest cooperation and honest pacts" is the key element of the quote that you have attributed to AE. Cooperation and pacts are a two-way street. The freedom given to the Gaza strip was a honest attempt at a peaceful pact - hasn''t worked out so well.

Didn''t see anyone post about the firefight between Egypt and Hamas at the Egyptian border. Interesting that fellow Arabs have also closed their border with Gaza, but missiles only fall on Israel.
Hamas is freely-elected by the people that they represent. Their clear policy of hating Israel more than improving their own state is reaping what it has sown.
Truly no joy to be found in this affair.

We would do exactly the same. We did in Iraq and we only THOUGHT they posed a threat to us. Israel knows beyond any kind of doubt that Hamas is building up an army and a cache of weaponery that threatens the very existence of their country......what else can they do?

THE ORIGINAL SIN

"Should we be unable to find a way to honest cooperation and honest pacts with the Arabs, then we have learned absolutely nothing during our 2,000 years of suffering and deserve all that will come to us."
Albert Einstein

"...If we had invested in the Arab problem one tenth of the energy, the passion, the ingenuity, the resourcefulness which we developed in order to gain the support of Britain, France, the US and Weimar Germany, our destiny in the development of Israel may have been quite different... We were not ready for compromises; we did not make sufficient efforts to get, if not the full agreement of the Arabs, at least their acquiescence to a Jewish state, which I think would have been possible. That was the original sin."
Dr. Nahum Goldmann
President of the World Jewish Congress
writing in the New Outlook,
November-December 1974
