Biden: No Earmarks In Stimulus
The Obama-Biden economic stimulus plan will be free of congressional earmarks, Vice-president elect Joe Biden insisted Tuesday at a meeting with economic advisors.
“I will say it again -- there will be no earmarks in this economic recovery plan. I know it’s Christmas…But President-elect Obama and I are absolutely determined that this economic recovery package will not become a Christmas tree,” Biden said of the plan, expected to run as high as $850 billion."
