CBS News RAW: Former first lady Barbara Bush was filmed riding a Segway in Kennebunkport, Maine. In 2003, President Bush took a tumble while riding his Segway. He was not injured.

(AP)  A Bush family spokesman says former first lady Barbara Bush is being released from a Houston hospital a week after undergoing ulcer surgery.

The spokesman says Bush is in good condition and recovering as expected. He says she is set to be discharged from The Methodist Hospital in Houston on Tuesday.

Bush, 83, was hospitalized a week ago for abdominal pains and underwent surgery for a perforated ulcer Nov. 25. During the surgery, doctors closed a nearly 1.5-centimeter hole caused by the ulcer. She began a liquid diet Monday after test results came back normal.

How could such a nice caring lady produce a devil spawn president? If only she had given her son a good dressing down a few years ago, the US would be in a far better economic and worldly position.

She should have told her son DON''T RUN FOR PRESIDENT!

Barbara Bush:
%u201CWhat I''m hearing, which is sort of scary, is they all want to stay in Texas. Everybody is so overwhelmed by the hospitality. And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway -- this, this is working very well for them.%u201D
