Shady Web Searches In Missing Girl Case

Computer Accessible To Girl's Mother Used To Search "Neck Breaking," "Household Weapons"

(CBS/ AP)  Court documents show "neck breaking" and "household weapons" were some of the Google searches performed on a computer accessible to the mother of a missing Florida 3-year-old.

Casey Anthony has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and other charges in the disappearance of her daughter, Caylee. The child disappeared in June, and authorities say her mother didn't report her missing until July.

The description of the searches was included in more than 700 pages of court documents released in the case this week.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that the searches also included "how to make chloraform" and took place in March. Someone also used the computer in March to search for peroxide, acetone, alcohol and "lost numbers."

Court documents also showed that Casey Anthony's grandmother told investigators that Anthony had stolen checks from her on several occasions, starting in 2007, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Shirley Plesea said she wanted to press charges against her granddaughter, but didn't for the sake of Caylee, documents showed.

Cindy Anthony, Casey's mother, first called authorities in July to say that she hadn't seen Caylee for a month and that her daughter's car smelled like death.

Casey Anthony told authorities that she had left her daughter with a babysitter in June, and that the two were gone when she returned from work. She says she spent the next month trying to find her daughter and didn't call authorities because she was scared.

Investigators immediately started poking holes in her story. The apartment where Casey Anthony said she had left her daughter had been vacant for months, they said. They said she also lied when she told them she had been working at an area theme park as an event planner.

Anthony was indicted on murder charges in October and remains in the Orange County Jail.

Whatever, in the end if mama Casey didn''t want the baby, then she should have been able to put her up for adoption; VoidMaster is correct. This girl is just as guilty as sin. She is a pathological liar who can''t even keep up with the lies that she has told because she believes each and every one of them. Her stories change on a daily basis. I feel sorry for her parents because nobody wants to believe that their daughter would be so selfish and self-centered that she would kill such a precious child just so she could go out and party. But I fully believe that Caylee is dead and her mother did it and knows exactly where the body is. she should tell so her parents can get some closure.

Unfortunately, the grandmother, Cindy Anthony is proving to be just as a big liar as her daughter. Too bad. She is going to end up in prison with this monster if she keeps interfering with the investigation.

Everyone is making such a big deal about stupid things in this case. Exactly who is actually looking for this child? Anyone ever think that this dumb young woman might have trusted someone with her child. And for her being so stupid she lost her baby to who knows who and why. There are still people out there looking to buy children for god knows what reason. Some good but I think most bad. I say keep looking for this child. If anyone thinks they see her call out her name and see if the little girl your looking at reacts to the name!! let the courts try the mother not the media or us out in lala land. We have no clue exactly what really happened.

Actually WRONG, sometimes the cheezy script here doesnt work right and you press the button and to the author NOTHING happens at all, it appears tobe locked, so you hit it a few times not knowing its actually cueuing the post multiple times due to server lag.

I wouldn''t blame abuse in this case; look at Andrea Yates...clearly she was a badly abused/neglected/sick woman who had NO support from the one person she was supposed to count on the most. To all of you that have an ironclad opinion of her guilt: The police have admitted that JonBenet Ramsey was NOT killed by a family member. We have not been told everything and I am sure the authorities are holding evidence out of the media.
