Palin Interviewed As Turkeys Killed
Alaska Governor Pardoned One Turkey At Farm, But Video Shows Others Being Slaughtered During Press Conference

In this image rendered from video and provided by KARE-TV Minneapolis, Alaska Gov. Gov. Sarah Palin speaks during an interview, Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at Triple D Farm & Hatchery outside Wasilla, Alaska. (AP Photo/KARE-TV)
As she answered questions Thursday at Triple D Farm & Hatchery outside Wasilla cameras from the Anchorage Daily News and others showed the bloody work of an employee slaughtering birds behind the former Republican vice presidential candidate.
On the video, Palin didn't comment about the slaughter as she answered questions, saying she's thankful that her son's Stryker brigade is relatively safe in Iraq and the rest of her family is healthy and happy. She said she's glad to be back in Alaska.
"This was neat," she said of the outing. "I was happy to get to be invited to participate in this. For one, you need a little bit of levity in this job, especially with so much that has gone in the last couple of months that has been so political obviously that it's nice to get out and do something to promote a local business and to just participate in something that isn't so heavy-handed politics that it invites criticism. Certainly we'll probably invite criticism for even doing this, too, but at least this was fun."

Hmmmm maybe it''s the smell of rotting fish as this beached whale democrat congress/president watches as the economy tanks. This article is much to do with "red herrings" trying to divert attention from our real problem incompetent Democrats in office.

Fox News actually broke the story.

Louiville, you''re pretty ignorant to be judging someone''s performance a) before they have even taken office, and b) based solely on the fact that they are a Democrat. You''re just another Republican with blinders over your eyes, seeing only what you want to see, and unable to get over the fact that the actual incompetent president and party were the ones voted out on November 4th. Maybe if Palin were a bit more with it, she would have had a clue as to how absurd and ridiculous that whole scene looked. The fact that she didn''t even notice tells the whole world that its a good thing she''s not in power right now.
This would make a great SNL comedy skit.
lol!
BTW, you people who will have turkey next Thursday, how do you think they get from farm to freezer. Sounds and looks like another pathetic "gotcha" from your media.
Posted by notblue------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hey notblue......... it''s not the fact that turkeys are being slaughtered that is disturbing......... it''s the fact that Sarah Palin isn''t smart enough to know that the world doesn''t want to see the slautering taking place while she is lightheartedly giving a pardon to one of the turkeys!!!
I don''t think Sarah Palin is a complete idiot, she wouldn''t be governor of Alaska if she were. But you have to admit that giving an interview while turkeys are being slaughtered in the background is a pretty dopey thing to do.
If Barack Obama had done this, you''d be making fun of him.

If Obama had (and he probably has) the press would have buried the story.
Just like CBS has the Catty Couric interview on Letterman.
Palin is disgusting. Whether she''s gutting moose, clubbing seals, or wringing turkey necks. She''s a vile, evil .itch.

Oh, the press done us wrong, the press done us wrong.
Maybe Palin and McCain got negative coverage because they deserved it. And Obama''s gotten plenty of criticism on Fox, stop your complaining.
Once, it made a macabre sort of joke, but still not funny.
Pardons are for executions, and that''s no laughing matter. Turkeys are being eaten, not ''executed''.
Execution is not a laughing matter to civilized people.

Hey..... all you "Simple Simons" out there..............Barack would have NEVER been stupid enough to have done this!!! LOL That is the difference between being educated and surrounded by smart people........ and being a hockey mom who is surrounded by the equivilent of the 3 Stooges and Abbott & Costello!!!
As she saying this, the turkey in the background is thrashing at being beheaded. FUNNY STUFF!

Obviously, Sarah is still trying out for SNL.
Or she''s a clueless idiot......
