Alaska's youngest and first female governor tabbed to be McCain's running mate.

(AP)  Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is in excellent health with no known health issues that would interfere with her ability to perform her duties if she and John McCain are elected Tuesday, her family doctor says.

McCain's campaign released a summary of Palin's medical history Monday night.

Palin had promised several weeks ago to release the information, following similar releases by McCain, and Democrats Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

In a two-page letter, Dr. Cathy Baldwin-Johnson, Palin's personal family physician in Alaska since 1997, said Palin has only been hospitalized for childbirth.

The Alaska governor is a 44-year-old mother of five. Son Trig, born earlier this year, has Down syndrome.

Palin had a breast biopsy in 1992 for what turned out to be a benign lesion. Her vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse, have been normal, the summary said.

Baldwin-Johnson said Palin has no close relatives with major health problems.

Palin also takes no routine prescription medications and exercises regularly.

The campaign's decision to release a brief summary letter is consistent with what Obama did earlier this year.

Obama did not release records, but rather a letter from his personal physician attesting to the 47-year-old's good health. Obama has very good cholesterol levels, outstanding blood pressure and no sign of heart disease. He is a smoker who has quit but relapsed several times. He announced in February that he was quitting again with the aid of Nicorette gum. His doctor said only that Obama is using Nicorette "with success."

Last month, Biden, Obama's running mate, released medical records that showed the 65-year-old to be very healthy, with some routine aging issues. There was no evidence he's had a brain scan to completely rule out another aneurysm like the one that required emergency surgery 20 years ago.

The records showed no reason for concern about another aneurysm: Biden has no symptoms, has healthy blood pressure and seems to have healthy heart arteries.

The records for McCain, 72, showed him in generally good health, cancer-free and with a strong heart. He maintains a healthy weight and blood pressure and takes medicine for his cholesterol.

Critics raise lingering questions, however, about his melanoma, the worst kind of skin cancer. McCain's doctors performed extensive surgery that raised no concern that it had begun spreading, giving him a good prognosis. He undergoes regular skin exams.

They did not release her records because she did not give birth last spring. Look at the pictures. BTW...Bristol did not attend school the last couple months of her mothers alleged pregnancy.

Sarah Palin was in TX when her water apparently broke. She then stayed at a conference to give a speech AND THEN took the 11-13hr flight home to AK.

Yeah right. Something stinks.

Exactly the McCain-Palin camp has been inciting hate and fear in their rallies and TV ads, Why should we believe them now? Sarah show bad judgement when she incited the rallies to hate and fear another human being. The people that are behind McCain are also saying bad things about Obama''s grandmother''s death. Those people are really mean and stupid. I pray that by tomorrow we will have a decent respectable leader in the White House, Senator Obama.
Even to the end Rick Davis is trying to incite hate into the final hours of the campaign, oh God I hope they don''t succeed. I hope the American people see the good that can come from trusting another human being another American. We need to show the world that we are indeed a changed nation filled with love and trust for other human beings. God Bless America and God Bless ALL Americans.

It was a very carefully worded medical report, released at literally the last minute, so that there is no time to vet the medical vetting. This doctor was probably in so deep already with Palin''s lies that she had to release something.

Palin does not expect to win, so she does not expect the report to be examined too closely. Now she has four years for it to be forgotten.

I really did not expect any psychological information, although it is obvious whe has serious problems in that area.

So many in Alaska are saying this Sarah is not the Sarah they knew. There could be a reason for that. She could have gone off her meds so they could say that she is not on any prescription medications.

Doctor Says Palin In Excellent Health, but her doctor also reported that Mrs. Palin suffers diminished mental capabilities, suffers delusions and lacks the ability to distinguish between right and wrong. This makes her fit into the Republican Party perfectly.

difficult to believe medical report, by this family doctor, released just a tad before election day. all the other candidates released it long ago. it smacks of stonewalling, cover up, and perhaps rewrite of medical records. no one will ever know the truth.

OK...but where are they going to find a psychiatrist willing to sign off on that bible-thumping space cadet%u2019s mental health?
This woman is not only severely intellectually challenged; she%u2019s proven herself to be;
PARANOID... All those %u201Chaters%u201D to root out in Wallisa & state government. A %u201Chater%u201D being any who disagree with her.
VINDICTIVE...goes to incredible lengths to punish any who challenge her absolute authority... takes any opposition personally. Unbelievably petty...long memory.
OBSESSIVE & DELUSIONAL...Clings to the belief that she is completely right long after reality says otherwise.
MEGALOMANIACAL...a common affliction among rabid, Holy Roller types. Imagines that she has special access to the Almighty, but since they only converse in tongues, insists that we all just take her word for what was said. (I really want someone like her, hand poised over the button, babbling about the Rapture and the end of days)
ACQUISITIVE...steals with both hands (considered a virtuous trait among Republicans)
DECEITFUL...says what she thinks is expedient in any given situation...not what is truthful or even somewhat accurate (another desirable quality among Republicans)
The list goes on, but it%u2019s too depressing to dwell on the fact that she is a major party%u2019s cynical, dangerous choice for the second highest office in the land (and a pretty good bet to inherit the first) based on her hoped-for appeal to women and extreme right Christians.

"The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government", "and I won''t be buried under their d*a*m*n flag."

"I''m an Alaskan, not an American. I''ve got no use for America or her damned institutions."

Jo Vogel, Founder of AIP

Sarah Palin addressed the Alaskan Independence Party Convention a little over 6 months ago, happily telling its attendees that she shared its "vision of upholding the Constitution of our great state", curiously not mentioning the Constitution of the United States. She encouraged AIP to "keep up the good work".

Now, what does the Amendment XIV say ?

(...) No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or GIVEN AID OR COMFORT TO THE ENEMIES THEREOF. (...)

newsthought 1...Thank you for reminding the McCain camp followers of the above information..least they have forgotten why McCain will lose the election tomorrow. It sure took me down memory lane and I didn''t like the trip. Tomorrow is the day that voters and citizens will elect the man Barack Obama who will make America a great nation ahead. He is going to need all of us to work together in this. We are rolling up our shirtsleeves and are ready to help.
Go Barack and Michelle Obama! Palin, the wicked witch of the north, I don''t care if you had a great physical exam, you need a ego exam, you think you could be our V.P. No way!

Good Night, America
