Peter Frampton Furious At Obama Sign Theft

Rocker Peter Frampton is wishing someone would show him the way to keep his Barack Obama yard signs from getting swiped.

The Grammy winner is complaining that signs showing his preference for the Democratic presidential candidate have been stolen repeatedly at his home in the upscale and predominantly Republican Cincinnati suburb of Indian Hill.

Frampton, 58, is so angry, he called The Cincinnati Enquirer asking to be interviewed.

The British-born singer of "Show Me the Way" and other hits told the newspaper that one reason he became a U.S. citizen was so he could vote. Now, he says his American rights to free speech and political speech are being violated and it "bugs" him.

Frampton said he has installed a video camera to catch the thieves.

Interesting how the McCain followers are ruthless about destroying the Obama signs, but now are adding flyers in the state of Virginia to tell people that the election is being held for Democrats on November FIFTH. What is wrong with this picture? Are Repub''s so desparate to win that they need to play these childish and wholly unChristian games? Apparently so. Obama earns my vote!

Since, if elected, Obama will be raising taxes on everyone (don''t even think otherwise...) in order to "spread the wealth", I think all those with signs in their yards should get rid of them and give the money spent on creating the signs to people who could really use it! Just think of all the money that could be "spread around" by stopping one silly bit of electioneering...

Quite a number of Obama signs are ''disappearing'' from around northern Massachusetts and especially New Hampshire, which is a swing state. It amazes me the number of McCain signs which do NOT disappear. The Republicans are playing dirty. It will be a JOY to wake up on the 5th to see those McCain signs gone. What goes around, comes around!

I''ve read over all the posts and it strikes me that nobody''s really commenting on the fact that we are discussing criminal acts, both trespassing and theft.
It appears to me that the republican replys are of the "So what, who cares" nature. Bet they would sing a different tune if someone broke into their garage and stole their vehicle.
These are criminal acts against Democratic supporters, there''s been a lot of that in my home area.

"Show Me the Way", by Peter Frampton is a great song.

DJs and campaign organizers please play it more especially on lead up to Election Day!

Barack Obama has successfully shown us the way to hope and change.

Sounds like an outstanding and fitting theme song for every Obama 08 victory party and post election event across a country.

Undoubtedly missing signs are being removed as collectors items by farsighted or enterprising souvenir hunters who want to secure their own iconic piece of winning US history.

United States is an open and free democracy, so any other explanation to hinder lawful political expression would be criminal or UnAmerican in nature.

I''ve put my signs on the inside of my window. They''re clearly visible from the street, but whoever wants at them will of course face breaking and entering charges.

[Frampton became a citizen because of the UK''''s punitive tax rate, as a lot of the limeys do. Now he wants us to be just like the place he left. He must have moved his money to the Caymans.]

that''s a lot of supposition there. what do you ''suppose'' his motivation for doing his famous live album was?

Maybe it was stolen by people who couldn''t afford them. They could be proudly displayed in someone else''s yard. Cmon Peter quit hating on the poor. Share the wealth you have plenty of money to buy more signs.
